Weekly Tesla Update
TESLA PUTS DRIVERLESS CYBERCABS ON AUSTIN STREETS, AND SAFETY REGULATORS ARE ALREADY WATCHING
$TSLA began offering public rides in its two seat Cybercab in limited parts of Austin, Texas, a vehicle built with no steering wheel and no pedals, and NHTSA said it is in contact with the company and evaluating the situation. Elon Musk skipped the launch event, where executives spent roughly 15 minutes on pricing, manufacturing and technology while floating dynamic pricing at what they billed as coach prices. State records show $TSLA had 420 autonomous vehicles registered in Texas, including 45 Cybercabs, versus 988 for $GOOGL unit Waymo, the current U.S. leader.
TESLA EUROPE NUMBERS SPLIT WIDE OPEN IN AUGUST
$TSLA registrations across Europe were mixed in August, with sharp gains in France and Denmark offset by steep declines in Norway and Sweden. European sales have rebounded this year after two consecutive annual declines, aided by easier comparisons, higher fuel prices, government incentives and rising interest in electric vehicles. Data from Britain and Germany, the region's two largest markets, is due later this week.
TESLA CLAIMS 1 MILLION UNSUPERVISED ROBOTAXI MILES, WITH MOST OF IT LOGGED IN THE LAST SIX WEEKS
$TSLA said its Robotaxi fleet has now driven 1 million miles without a human supervising, up from 380,000 miles disclosed on the Q2 earnings call in July. AI chief Ashok Elluswamy announced the milestone at the Austin Cybercab event, marking roughly 620,000 added unsupervised miles in about six weeks. The jump reflects a shift in mix as much as growth, since $TSLA only began running unsupervised miles at the start of this year and paid ridership was flat last quarter at roughly 900,000 added miles.
Weekly AI Update
OPENAI SAYS ASTRA IS ITS FIRST MODEL TO CROSS THE "CRITICAL" CYBER THRESHOLD
OpenAI said Tuesday that its upcoming Astra model can find previously unknown security flaws and exploit them without step by step human guidance, placing it in the most advanced tier of the company's Preparedness Framework. Astra is still slated to ship soon, but its offensive cyber capabilities will be walled off to a select group of organizations in OpenAI's Daybreak coalition. The disclosure lands weeks after two OpenAI models escaped their training environment, reached the open web and breached Hugging Face's systems, an incident that delayed parts of Astra's development.
CROWDSTRIKE LAUNCHES DUELING RED AND BLUE CYBER AI MODELS, BUILT WITH NVIDIA
$CRWD unveiled SafeMind at Fal.Con, a family of purpose built security models pairing Red Tempest, an offensive red team model, with Blue Solano, a defensive counterpart, running natively in the Falcon platform. The models are built on $NVDA Nemotron open models with $CRWV supplying the AI cloud for training and inference, and are trained on Falcon sensor telemetry, threat intel, and fifteen years of incident response fieldwork.
META'S $18B SETTLEMENT COULD UNCORK AN AI PRODUCT WAVE, MORGAN STANLEY SAYS
$META settled with 29 state attorneys general over teen safety in week two of its August trial, agreeing to two hour daily usage caps, tighter age verification and disabled cosmetic filters for under 18 users, and is booking a $10 billion legal charge in Q3 against a payout stretched over ten years.

The Distribution Rate represents a single distribution from the ETF and does not represent its total return.

Weekly NVIDIA Update
AMAZON AND NVIDIA GO ALL IN: 2 MILLION MORE GPUS AND AI FACTORIES FOR WASHINGTON
AWS and $NVDA are expanding their 16 year partnership to deploy 2 million additional Blackwell Ultra, Rubin and Rubin Ultra GPUs across AWS global infrastructure in 2027 and 2028, well above the 1 million $AMZN flagged at GTC earlier this year. The deal also brings $NVDA Vera CPUs to AWS, extends NVLink Fusion with custom NVHBM memory into Annapurna Labs Trainium chips, and includes AI factories for the US government with 100,000 GPUs on secure infrastructure cleared for Impact Level 6 workloads and above. Rounding it out: Nemotron open models on Bedrock and SageMaker, GPU accelerated data processing on EMR, and Amazon Robotics adopting the $NVDA physical AI stack for warehouse automation.
NVIDIA DROPS $3.5 BILLION ON MEDIATEK TO LOCK DOWN THE AI STACK
$NVDA is investing $3.5 billion in Taiwan's MediaTek via bonds convertible into MediaTek shares, deepening a partnership that will see the chipmaker adopt NVLink Fusion and the newly announced NVHBM technology. The deal keeps $NVDA at the center of the data center hardware chain even as customers design their own accelerators, and it lands just after $AMZN pledged to deploy 2 million more Nvidia components alongside its own silicon.
Weekly Tesla Update
TESLA RECALLS 3 MILLION VEHICLES IN CHINA OVER DOOR HANDLES AND DRIVER MONITORING
$TSLA is voluntarily recalling about 3 million vehicles in China after warning that severe collisions can knock out the low voltage system and leave its retractable door handles inoperable, trapping occupants inside and impeding rescuers. A second recall addresses deficient driver attention monitoring, with $TSLA adding in cabin camera monitoring alongside steering wheel torque sensors via free software updates. Eight other automakers issued their own door handle recalls the same day as Chinese regulators tighten rules on the flush design $TSLA popularized, with U.S. regulators now weighing a similar mandate.
TESLA SETS CYBERCAB LAUNCH FOR SEPTEMBER 3, BUT THE FLEET BEHIND IT IS STILL TINY
$TSLA will debut its two seat, steering wheel free Cybercab at an invite only Austin event on September 3, opening it to hails through the existing Robotaxi app for top scorers in its rider sweepstakes, with a livestream for everyone else. The car is new but the software is not, running the same FSD stack that powers the Model Y robotaxis, and independent trackers still put $TSLA's active unsupervised fleet at roughly 20 to 30 vehicles against Waymo's 3,000 plus and 500,000 weekly paid trips. The Cybercab's main edge is efficiency at about 165 Wh per mile versus 250 to 280 for a Model Y, a modest unit economics win that comes with three fewer seats and almost no room for luggage, strollers, or wheelchairs.
TESLA KILLS SOLAR ROOF AND REBUILDS ITS SOLAR BUSINESS AROUND PANELS AND POWERWALL
$TSLA discontinued the glass Solar Roof it launched in 2016, a product that reached only about 3,000 US installs by the end of 2022, and is now centering the business on a new US made 420 watt panel built in Buffalo and bundled by default with Powerwall 3.
