🎉 Exciting news for #TeamIrving! Thanks to the leadership of Superintendent @IISDMagdaHdz and the Board of Trustees, all full-time employees will receive 4 paid Wellness Days (part-time will receive 2 days) for the upcoming school year. These days will be an opportunity for staff to take time to rest and recharge as part of the district’s ongoing commitment to employee wellness 💚.

‼️Early Dismissal at Hanes ES, Lee ES, Travis MS, Austin MS, Irving HS, Cardwell - Tuesday, March 4 ‼️

Due to this morning’s storms, several Irving ISD schools are without power. Oncor is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. However, power has not been restored in a timely manner to a few of our campuses.

As a result, the following campuses will dismiss early today, Tuesday, March 4, as follows:

The following elementary schools will release at 11 AM:
- Hanes Elementary School
- Lee Elementary School

The following middle schools will release at 11:30 AM:
- Travis Middle School
- Austin Middle School

The following high schools will release at 11:45 AM:
- Irving High School
- Cardwell Career Preparatory Center

High school students who drive their own vehicles and students who are picked up by their parents will be dismissed at this early dismissal time. For students who are bus riders, buses will be on-site at the school beginning at the dismissal time to transport students safely back home.

We anticipate that the issue will be resolved and school will resume as normal tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5.
