John Ternus, the new CEO of Apple, has been with the company for 25 years. His only non-Apple job was four years in the late 90s at Virtual Research, a tiny Virtual Reality HMD outfit.
From what I can tell, he was the lead mechanical engineer on the V8 I obtained when I was 16!
So stoked you’re returning!!💪 We met once during the ‘24-25 season — I’m also a 🇨🇦 from Toronto — and what I said then still applies: @TaraSlone, you’re unquestionably THE best addition @SharksNHL have ever made to their broadcast team! Alongside two greats @sharkvoice & @DrewRemenda, it’s truly the #1 top line in the @NHL!
🚨 BOOM! Kid just MIC DROPPED A CNN reporter outside the Artemis II launch:
CNN: “Why do you want to be here? Why love being part of history?”
Kid: “We’re going back to the FCKING MOON, that’s why!” 🤣
No filter. Pure fire. Legend.
I was there, too! And remember Springsteen jumped onstage for 3 or 4 song encore including “Rosalita.” It had been rumored he “might” make an appearance at the show as, at the time, Springsteen’s mom lived in San Mateo.
Near the end of the Clemons’ main set, the whole club starts chanting “Bruce! Bruce!.” I’m on the dance floor and suddenly see Springsteen is literally next to standing right next to me but nobody noticed! 😂 He soon disappeared stage right and jumped onstage a few mins later. Incredible,
Such an incredible intimate club. In ‘80s, I damn near lived there as a student DJ at KFJC radio. Sooo many great artists & epic shows … The Tubes, Bonnie Hayes, Greg Kihn, X, No Doubt, Lords of the New Church, Black Uhuru, Rita Marley, The Plimsouls (REM opened up), Huey Lewis, Clarence Clemons w/ surprise guest Bruce Springsteen, Flock of Seagulls, etc etc.

During every gameday at 7, they pause to honor the fallen troops buried just beyond the wall
One of the best traditions in sports
