The moral of the story is don't trust a Steven's Hometown Toyota or Toyota Financial for honest dealings. Now we're on the hook for a $70k truck that may or may not come in because of their latest issues with the Tundra's turbo waste gate issues leaving brand new trucks dead on
He had the sales manager Cam call me. He was useless. He told me this was completely standard practice. They had at least seven other Tundra orders sent into Toyota for payment, and they hadn't delivered the trucks yet.
happening before and that "maybe" they could give me some oil changes to make up for this.
I called the dealership and spoke with my salesperson, who we all know couldn't do anything.
I was S.O.L since I had signed the purchase contract already and that the dealership had sent it in for payment as I took delivery of the truck already. I then called #toyotausa about this issue, and I was told I needed to talk to the dealership, that she hadn't heard of this
I was shocked; why would I get a statement for a vehicle that I hadn't been able to pick up. I called Toyota Financial services and told them what was going on. The manager told me I was on better terms.
Well, Toyota pushed out the delivery again. Not a problem; I need it before the end of March, so there was no rush. Today, I checked the mail and found a bill from #ToyotaFinancialServices.
The salesperson was great, and I figured everything would be fine. Since Rey was leaving the country for a Medical Mission trip to Kenya, they sent out the paperwork for us to sign, then I could pick up the truck when I was in Idaho visiting my grandmother for a week.
The credit card company took care of the issue for us.
After searching all of Oregon and Washington for another truck either in stock or had a delivery date, I found one out at #Steveshometowntoyota.
I had ordered on time, they agreed to refund it. We waited another two weeks for the refund and had to report it to our credit card company because the dealership wasn't refunding the money.
I then asked for a refund since they didn't know when we would get a truck. The sales guy said, ok and then his manager said no. I had to talk him into a refund; since they didn't get me the truck
First, we went to #Rontonkin to get this truck ordered and were told it would be here at the end of the year. That worked out great since we didn't need the truck for a while after that. The salesperson called and told us the truck was in Portland being held on a QC hold issue
