Obama is absolutely right here.
There is no doubt that if we had more women in charge, there would be less war, better healthcare, better education, and less income inequality.
Obama: "If you put women in charge of every government for two years... I have a strong belief that things would be better. I'm confident about that."
I didn't know Presley Gerber. But I was rooting for him from afar, the way you root for anyone you recognize battling the same demons.
Addiction is a disease that knows no bounds. It doesn't care who your parents are, how much money you have, how loved you are, or how hard you're trying. And he was trying. He fought for his recovery in public, in front of a world that offers very little mercy to people who struggle where everyone can see.
We lost nearly 200 people to overdose in this country yesterday. We'll lose nearly 200 more today. About 1,300 a week. Almost 6,000 a month. Roughly 70,000 last year. Every one of them was somebody's Presley.
He started Mental Health Mondays because, in his words, "the goal was to spark real conversations about the stuff most people hide."
So don't hide. Ask for help. Keep asking. And if you've asked before and it didn't take, ask again.
You are not alone.

Thomas Massie: The Epstein scandal is “deeper and darker” than anyone imagined.
“It’s bigger than Watergate.”
“It’s bigger than Iran-Contra.”
“It’s not about Joe Biden or Donald Trump.”
“There are degrees of evil here that we’ve never seen at this scale … ”
“Our government was compromised by wealthy, connected billionaires, and by Jeffrey Epstein himself.”
“At the age of 14, these girls that were being sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein were told if they could go find another girl to take their place, then they wouldn’t have to be sexually abused.”
“And some of them took that deal.”
“It’s one thing to be evil to a child.”
“It’s another thing to get a child to do evil.”
“The light sentence that was given to Jeffrey Epstein in 2008 that allowed him to victimize hundreds of more women, we want to know, why was he given that light sentence?”

I predicted they’d call off Congress until the election to stop our new Epstein bill.
Johnson said on TV that was “stupid” and “nonsensical.”
But then he got a call from “upstairs” and canceled Congress from the middle of September until the election.
The television stations are ready. I’m ready. The only person we haven’t heard from is the woman who believes she should be handed a six-year Senate term.

#NEPAL: This is incredible. 1,643 children survived because one headmaster acted fast when disaster was already on the way.
He received a warning that a village upstream had been swept away by the river. He immediately rang the school bell and moved the children and teachers to higher ground.
School buses were on the way to school, He called the bus drivers and told them: "Don't come here. Go back."
One school bus was already on its way. The headmaster saw it approaching the bridge and told the driver to turn back. The bus reached safety just before the bridge collapsed.
Then the flood hit the school. The entire three-storey school was washed away. It completely vanished. Not even a trace was left behind.
But all 1,643 children survived.

🚨HOLY COW: Jon Ossoff just HUMILIATED JD Vance:
“I don't know if you saw, but JD Vance was in Georgia this week.
NO ONE SHOWED UP. The stadium was empty.”
AND THEN OSSOFF WENT NUCLEAR:
“But JD came to UGA to attack the Pope, two days after Donald Trump depicted himself as Jesus Christ.
The faithless President depicts himself as Christ while he plunges the nation into wars of choice.
While he and his family rake in billions from foreign princes.
While he plunders our health care to cut taxes for the rich.
Meanwhile rent, power, groceries, and health care have hit all-time highs this year.
Ground beef's up 20% since Trump took office. Coffee, 40%. Health premiums: through the roof.
And remember: while you pay more for everything, the First Family’s wealth is growing by billions of dollars.
Because they’re crooks, and everybody knows it."
The deadly Cyclospora diarrhea outbreak, it turns out, is just another Trump corruption story. A big donor gets a favor. And causes a massive public health crisis.
Let me explain.
Here is George Clooney response after Trump accused him of being a "Hollywood elite."
"Here’s the thing: I grew up in Kentucky. I sold insurance door-to-door. I sold ladies’ shoes. I worked at an all-night liquor store. I would buy suits that were too big and too long and cut the bottom of the pants off to make ties so I’d have a tie to go on job interviews. I grew up understanding what it was like to not have health insurance for eight years.
So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable.
People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble?
He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people!
When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction.
He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!"

BREAKING: Trump commits his most pro-corruption crime yet by PERMANENTLY deleting the database that lists the "beneficial owners" of U.S. legal entities — meaning criminals can now easily hide behind shell companies.
"It's like Trump ordering the deletion of the FBI's fingerprint database," stated former Congressman Tom Malinowski.
We may as well have elected Al Capone to be President...
"I helped pass this law in 2020. It's purpose is to prevent drug traffickers, Russian & Chinese kleptocrats, and other international criminals from setting up anonymously owned companies to hide their money in the US. Trump's Treasury Dept. is doing this to help criminals," Malinowski wrote on X in response to the announcement from the Treasury Department.
In their post, Treasury touted the decision by their Financial Crimes Enforcement Network to "permanently" remove the requirement that entities report "beneficial ownership information." Worse still, FinCEN also stated that they "will delete previously reported information by U.S. persons from the beneficial ownership information database."
The White House didn't even bother to construct a plausible explanation for the world-shaking decision, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent instead offering up some platitudes about "common sense" and cutting "red tape."
But the motivation is painfully transparent. This administration is stuffed to the gills with white collar criminals. They're lining their pockets with sweetheart deals, running crypto scams, and constructing elaborate financial architectures for hiding and laundering money. This new decision makes it far more difficult for upstanding law enforcement agents to detect and prosecute these wrongdoings.
"'Beneficial ownership information'" is just a record of who actually owns a company. That's all that was being reported here, so that we didn't have LLCs in Delaware laundering millions of dollars through the US and into offshore banks on behalf of totally anonymous people," wrote Malinowski.
"Treasury deleting the beneficial ownership info it already gathered is utterly crazy. This database was not public -- it was just for law enforcement to use in investigating crimes. It's like Trump ordering the deletion of the FBI's fingerprint database," he continued.
"Why is the Trump administration doing this? I don't know. But it's certainly good news for rich Russians who want to buy his condos, or Gulf royals buying his fake crypto. The true identities of people he's done business with, if registered with Treasury, will now be deleted," he went on.
This particular point is crucial. Trump has been taking bribes out in the open (look no further than his Qatari jet) so one can only imagine what he and his family are raking in from foreign governments behind closed doors. By deleting this database, he makes it much easier for America's adversaries to funnel money to him and his cronies. This isn't just criminal, it's downright treasonous.
"Last but not least, this is totally illegal!" added Malinowski. "Congress passed a law -- with strong Republican support BTW -- saying Treasury had to collect and keep beneficial ownership info. The Trump administration cannot say 'we're just not going to do it.'"
"This will find its way to court. It will be struck down. But the deletion of data currently available to law enforcement may be irreversible," he concluded. "It's one of the most lawless and corrupt things this administration has done, and that's saying a lot."
The illegality would be relevant under any other President, but with Republican control of Congress we can safely presume no action will be taken until after the midterms when Democrats obtain subpoena power. And since we likely can't undo the database deletion, we need to investigate and prosecute everyone who was involved in it.

What courage this country has 👏
I’m sorry if you’re a Republican and don’t want to hear this but the National Debt is $3.6 Trillion higher than when Trump took office 18 months ago. Here’s the 90 second speech I gave the night they passed the Big Bankruptcy Bill.
