@lainitaylor The decision for some schools often depends on if they use a teaming model, if they require PE/Health at 9th or 10th, if they offer exploratory electives in 9th, etc. It can be hard to balance “required” classes with making sure kids have choices and electives every year, too.

@lainitaylor In Oregon, not that unusual. Quite a few schools moved the Global Studies/ Modern World History class to 10th grade a few years ago when standards were realigned. So, some schools do the 3 “required” SS classes at 9th/11th/12th and some 10th/11th/12th.
