Kurdish civil society activists Jamal Khodarahmi and Hersh Navgaran, both from Sanandaj (Sine), have been sentenced in separate cases by the Iranian judiciary to suspended prison terms, with Khodarahmi also fined.

Based on information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Khodarahmi was recently sentenced by a branch of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court to a two-year suspended prison sentence and fined four million tomans.

Once again, Iranians woke up to the news of another execution, carried out by the hands of the Mullahs.

Alireza’s case is even more heartbreaking. He suffered a heart attack before his original execution date in July, which delayed his execution until October 5th.

He married his wife, Mahshad Kashani, in prison, as his last wish before the Islamic Republic murdered him.

They never got the chance to start their life together. The Islamic Republic took that life away from them.

The Islamic Republic has taken countless lives and destroyed too many families since 1979.

Now I ask: where are the human rights activists? The ones who get on rafts to monitor the so-called “genocide”? Where are the officials who claim to stand for freedom and democracy, but run back to meet Islamic Republic officials and make business deals with them?

These crimes will not remain unaccounted for.

The only way forward is the destruction of this demonic tyranny.

🔴 URGENT | Alireza Sepahi at Imminent Risk of Execution
Alireza Sepahi Badjani, a 25-year-old protester sentenced to death in the “Alikhani Square” case, is at imminent risk of execution after his family were summoned for a visit at Isfahan Central Prison on 4 October.

His lawyer, Shahrzad Shahbazi, warned: “My client, Alireza Sepahi, breathes today; perhaps not tomorrow.”

His scheduled public execution on 28 July was halted after he suffered a heart attack shortly beforehand. He was transferred to pre-execution solitary confinement again in September.

Five of his co-defendants have already been executed, two of them publicly.

Marzieh Moradveisi, a dismissed teacher and former political prisoner, and Sohrab Bahrami, a civil rights activist, both from Sanandaj (Sine), have been sentenced to suspended prison terms and fines by the Iranian judiciary in separate cases.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, a branch of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court sentenced Moradveisi to a two-year suspended prison term and a fine of four million tomans. She was formally notified of the verdict on September 30, 2026.
