The man remained quiet. The Imam then said, "If what we say would be true, which, in fact, is true then you will be the one facing your destruction and we will be saved."

Imam Reza and His Guest
A guest once kept entertaining him part of the night when the lamp started fading and the guest stretched his hand to fix it, but Imam Reza swiftly checked him and fixed it himself, saying, "We are folks who do not let their guest tend on them.

“Faith consists of verbal expression, whole-hearted acceptance and acting accordingly.”

“It is not proper for a man to smell bad on any day. If it is not possible for him to put perfume on every day, he should at least do so every other day. Even if he cannot do so, he should try to do it once a week and not abandon this.”

“Whoever recites (the verse), 'Say, He is God, the One, and Only' and believes in it has recognized the concept of the Unity of God.”

“When the Resurrection Day comes, I will be called from the depth of the Throne with a call saying, O Muhammad! Your father Abraham - the Friend (of God) was a good father, and your brother Ali ibn Abi Talib was a good brother.”
