the issue with Toy Story 4(+5?) isn't that it continues the themes of change/growth, rather it reverses the premise of a toy's purpose: to exist for children i.e. others. It's part of a wider shift in culture/children's movies where the message is no longer "grow up/help others/-
Thought about undivided, and my biggest criticism of it is i can’t tell what its tone is.
When it started i assumed it was gonna be fun side stories/ overwatch hijinx Stuff, but as it goes on it randomly drops heavy plot points, and then goes back to slice of life.

today i found out that these 4 magical girls existed in exactly one event in madoka mobage in like 2012, making them only younger than kazumi and oriko. this is crazy. their names are Elise(/Erise maybe), Kurea/Claire, Hiyori, and Komachi respectively

I think people treat characterisation in fandom as objective when it's really subjective. No fan has an objective knowledge of exactly how a character acts in all situations bc theyre not the person that created these characters and they inherently have bias
