@latterdaylaura I think the point is that regardless of one's wealth, when you are in a position such as theirs you shouldn't flaunt it. My FIL was told not to drive his Corvette to his job as an accountant for the church. Apparently it wasnt the image they wanted employees to portray.

The closest guy to me now lives 150 miles to the south. No one gets together with their former unit members and says "hey bitches, let's all live next to one another."

@yldlite @RoughStoneTroll No you don't. Eyering lives up the street from me in a nice but modest house. Packer lived in a relatively dilapidated home, which was torn down after he passed, although the property it was on was AMAZING!!

I'm pretty sure Jesus would question the practice of taking "sacred funds," and becoming obscenely wealthy of the death of third world peasants.
