OCA has joined forces with our allies at Toxin Free USA and Beyond Pesticides to file a consumer protection lawsuit against Driscoll’s over its false “sustainable” and “eco friendly” labeling on strawberries and blueberries. 🍓🫐

Despite the advertising imagery of lush, green farms, many of Driscoll’s operations grow berries in plastic containers within facilities entirely covered in plastic. To prepare the land for this type of growing system, soil is compacted and plastic is laid down on the newly leveled ground. Rows of plastic pots are laid on top of the plastic-lined ground, and the plants grow in a coconut husk substrate. Plastic hood infrastructure is built over the crops to shield them from extreme weather conditions.

Even in its more traditional outdoor growing fields, Driscoll’s berry plants are encased in plastic. Further, some of the company’s operations are, in fact, factories where plants are grown without soil or sunlight.

If Axon retained historical Flock data in https://t.co/7E56pPuErn and Fusus, and if that data is now being used to train Axon's AI models , has effectively stolen millions of Americans' location data and is using it for commercial AI development without consent.

Why this matters? 👀🚨

Now look at what happened in State of Washington Jose Rodriguez's public records requests. 🚨

Cities told courts they could not produce the records because Flock's 30-day deletion policy destroyed them. They paid $300,000 in settlements. Sedro-Woolley paid $40,000. Stanwood paid $40,000. Everett paid $25,000. 🚨

But here is the contradiction that nobody has caught: If Flock data was automatically transferring into https://t.co/7E56pPuErn, then copies of that data existed in Axon's cloud, independent of Flock's 30-day deletion policy. https://t.co/7E56pPuErn is an evidence retention platform. It is designed to preserve data, not delete it after 30 days⚠️👀

When those cities told courts they did not possess the records, they may have been wrong. The records may have been sitting in https://t.co/7E56pPuErn the entire time. Either those cities lied to courts, or they did not know their own evidence platform contained the records they were being sued for.👀

But it gets worse. Look at Flock's behavior. Flock's Vice President of Litigation, Michael Goldsticker, sent emails to city attorneys coordinating efforts to deny the public records requests. Flock was actively helping cities fight disclosure of records that Flock's own system was deleting.👀

Now ask yourself: Why would Flock help cities deny records requests if those records still existed in Axon's https://t.co/7E56pPuErn? 🚨

Because Flock knew the records were in https://t.co/7E56pPuErn, and Flock did not want anyone to look there. If someone looked in https://t.co/7E56pPuErn and found the records, it would expose the fact that Flock's 30-day deletion policy was a sales pitch, not a technical reality. The data was being copied to Axon's cloud, and neither Flock nor Axon was disclosing this to the municipalities or the courts.🚨👀

Now look at Axon's ACEIP program. Axon's own privacy notice says ACEIP "enables us to use Customer Content from participating customers to develop and improve current and future products.

Flock data was flowing into https://t.co/7E56pPuErn through the API integration, that data became Customer Content. If any of those municipalities were enrolled in ACEIP, Axon was using Flock-derived vehicle location data to train Axon's proprietary AI models.

Axon's ALPR products are now being sold to municipalities that just fled Flock. Those Axon ALPR products are powered by AI models that were trained on Flock's data

This morning, President Trump announced action against the four companies that dominate American beef processing and signaled he wants to give ranchers more freedom to process their own product. Two of those four processors are controlled by foreign corporations. More competition in processing is a step in the right direction, and we support it.

But if the goal is actually to lower prices for American families, the most direct path is mandatory country of origin labeling. Without it, imported beef enters our supply chain, sits beside American beef in your grocery store, gets blended into ground beef, and is sold without any obligation to tell you where it came from. There is nothing requiring the savings from cheaper imported beef to be passed along to you.

Give consumers transparency and let them choose. That is how a free market is supposed to work. Competition only functions when people know what they are choosing between.

We can support a president when he gets it right and respectfully challenge him when we believe he gets it wrong. That is not political. That is the job.

Break the processing bottleneck. Bring back mandatory country of origin labeling. Give every American, Republican, Democrat, independent, or libertarian, the right to know where their food comes from.

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — 4th Judicial District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn has been arrested just days before he was set to retire according to jail records.

On Thursday, Sevier County Jail records showed that Dunn, 79, had been arrested by the Sevier County Sheriff's Office. He is listed as facing charges of official oppression, official misconduct, retaliation for past action, coercion of a state witness, and civil rights intimidation.
