Before I decorated with black, there was grey! Grey/Gray is that neutral that will forever give what it needs to give. It balances, it rounds, it evens! It makes a space timeless. I mean it's 50 shades if sophistication right?!

@Hat_IsBack Yes and no. Sometimes it’s all about paint color. Just like wood paneling made a comeback but upgraded. I wish our house had one room with wood ceilings.
I couldn't do October without talking about orange. As the "cousin" to yellow it gives playful! During the fall months, orange can give a sense of encouragement that we need during the cooler months. Adding different shades/hues/tones of orange to your space can change your mood.
I love mixing old with new. The ability to blend in this midst of trends while still commanding it's on rightful place is what makes antiques amazing. And when it comes to black, just know it's always right.

Purple was a part of our bedroom in Memphis for at least 5 years. It's also my husband's favorite color. It's a color that represents royalty, no wonder it would be a part of jewel tones. It's one of those colors that can give your drama without having to go bright or really dark
