1/ “Yield” sounds attractive—but the important question is: where does it actually come from?
I’ve been studying Digital Credit and how Apyx brings dividend-backed cash flows onchain.
Here’s my beginner-friendly breakdown 🧵
6/ Important: yield is never a free promise.
Apyx’s yield depends on dividends from its collateral, including preferred shares such as STRC and SATA. Rates can change, and users should consider market, custody, liquidity, smart-contract and regulatory risks.
8/ My takeaway: don’t chase an APY you can’t explain.
Apyx shows how traditional dividend cash flows can move onchain through apxUSD and apyUSD. Still, always research the collateral, mechanics and risks yourself.

7/ What interests me is the bridge: cash dividends from public markets can become programmable onchain yield.
Apyx is live on Solana, where transactions are fast and low-cost. But my biggest takeaway is simple: understand the source of yield before focusing on the rate.
One thing I’m learning about Web3: “yield” is only meaningful when you understand where it comes from.
I’m currently studying how real-world assets and traditional cash flows can be brought onchain—without hiding the risks behind complicated terminology.
