Things to try this Ramadhaan:

Cut back on your speech.

Don't talk much.

Observe noble silence a lot.

Be quiet a whole lot.

Contemplate carefully before speaking.

Speak only with brief words of goodness, delivered at the right occasion (wisdom).

And lastly (again & again): Don't talk a lot. Be quite more.

Are people flung into Hell upon their faces due to anything other than the harvests of their own tongues?!

Muhammad b. Sirīn (d. 110) said:

“I have never envied anyone for anything.

As if they are from the people of Hell, then how can I envy them for a worldly matter while their destination is Hell?

And if they are from the people of Paradise, then how can I envy a man from its people while Allah has guaranteed for him His Pleasure.”

Muslim (a narrator) said: I have not heard anything better than this from the speech of Ibn Sirīn.
