"The Path is:
A war against WEAKNESS, so it leads to STRENGTH.
A war against IGNORANCE, so it leads to KNOWLEDGE.
A war against CONFUSION, so it leads to UNDERSTANDING.
The Path is your LIFE."
-Jocko Willink
Forge your path. Figure out where you want to go, how you're going to get stronger, how you're going to get faster, how you're going to get smarter, how you're going to get better.

Discipline makes a man do something he would not do unless he has learned that it is the right, the proper and expedient thing to do. At its best, it is instilled by pride in oneself, in one's unit, in one's profession, and only at its worst by fear and punishment.

“Surrender the outcome.
Trust your training.
Focus on the performance. Forget everything else.”
This is what I have been telling myself before matches since the summer.
My advice is to simplify the messages you tell yourself before matches. It’s okay if they don’t make sense to other people. Find words that resonate with you.
When you simplify the messaging related to mindset, you can focus on technique.
If your internal monologue is fear-driven you will compete scared.
I’m happy that I won last week, but I’m most proud of the fact that at no point during the competition weekend did I ever want it to end.
"When your REQUEST isn't right, God says NO.
When the TIMING isn't right, God says SLOW!
When YOU are not right, God says GROW!
But when EVERYTHING is all right
God says, GO!"
"Beauty is found in the journey to a destination that you may never reach. Failure is your most valuable mentor - keep failing and embrace the struggle."
"Basta sa susunod na kakatukin ka ng opportunity, grab mo na. Sa una lang naman nakakatakot, kasi takot tayong magfail. Pero once na tinanggap mo ang hamon, surely, panalo kana."
There are things that are more important than being strong and smart and athletic… Things like loyalty, honor, WILL. Things like courage. The courage to stand and the will to keep going, and to do the right things for the right reasons.
