@Tommy____79@AlfieHouseEcho@AdamBlackmore I’ve heard there are plans to add another tier to the northam , Kingsland and chapel stands- which is about 10k more home fans as well as a few thousand away fans. They can’t do the Itchen because there is a bat box on the roof which legally can’t be touched.
@stewilson1989@MattPB_ Because if a player dives, scores a pen, wins the game , would the final result change? would there still be a sanction if the pen was missed- not affecting the result?
If Boro could score this would’nt be a conversation. They lost and saw it as a way to get a 2nd bite at the🍒
@stewilson1989@MattPB_ at the end of the day , it’s a bit unethical but it’s really not the massive deal that it’s been portrayed as. Its impact on a match is much less than a player diving and winning a penalty, and nobody gets penalised for that after the fact, despite it still being cheating.
@stewilson1989@MattPB_ Tonda’s name has been dragged through the mud by people claiming he was bullying a young intern. Who, A) shouldn’t have done such a shit job at spying. B) if it was such a moral quandary for him, he could’ve said no? C) Shouldn’t have grassed. Tonda wasn’t aware of the rules.
@stewilson1989@MattPB_ You tried your very best to be involved with our legal proceedings, which were denied. You then formally threatened the EFL and ended up with 66% of the panel being linked to Middlesbrough FC.
@boroshaun1971@upthesaints Probably because it was seen as nothing more than unethical behaviour that probably warrants a fine and a touchline ban. You know as well as me that Gibson could’ve got the game postponed if he really wanted .Instead, he used it as a way to potentially get two bites at the cherry
@boroshaun1971@upthesaints If it had been such an issue then neither game should’ve been played. Boro were happy to benefit from the gate of the 1st leg. If you had won the tie it wouldn’t have gone this far either. You used the scandal as a get out of jail card to make up for the fact you didn’t turn up.
@boroshaun1971@upthesaints Clubs do all sorts to gain advantages that could be considered breaking this rule. Diving or Time wasting (like Matt Targett did) have a much bigger direct impact on games. We just happened to get caught by a club that prefers to win games in courtrooms instead of on the pitch.
🚨 BREAKING: Middlesbrough owner Steve Gibson is set to sue the EFL, demanding Premier League promotion. Claiming that Boro earned it after 217 days in top 2, despite being knocked out of the playoffs twice and finishing 5th in a 2 horse race. #UTB#Boro#EFL
O’Hara is bang on here. Boro have a much bigger advantage for the final now than Southampton had for the semi. #hcafc have been shafted.
What a shambles English football has become.
