Q: Release when?
A: I've already rescheduled the release from spring to this winter, because I can afford to do that until the novel is released in a quality manner. I'll share the progress. The best-case scenario is the end of 2026. Platforms include Steam, Itchio. PC only.

Q: What engine is the novel built on?
A: The RenPy engine – a tried-and-tested classic, albeit with a few workarounds in the code for non-standard solutions.

Q: Will the novel be localised?
A: The game will be available in English and Russian, without voice. I’ll do the translation myself to ensure it’s accurate. The English localisation will differ in terms due to linguistic nuances.

Q: What kind of music is in the novel?
A: Blackcensus will feature dark, melancholic, and eerie ambient music. I need to finish the story before find and contact composer. Currently working on the specifications.

RE: I may well find someone who can create sounds of higher quality than the current ones, as I want to support my colleagues, newbie composers and sound designers. I only drink coffee and eat bread every day, and for now that’s enough to set aside some money for project budget.

Q: Will the novel feature AI-generated content?
A: This is a sensitive issue for an artist. For some sounds, I use generative ones from my ElevenLabs commercial licence. Also Midjourney as a tool and reference for high-quality backgrounds. Overall, everything is created by me.

Q: What are the references?
A: Our lives are the reference. Various ARG projects, games, scientific theories about universe. The World as Will and Representation by Schopenhauer. If there’s no escaping the horror of existence, then one might as well enjoy it. Learn to trust it.

Q: What is the novel’s rating?
A: The game contains violence, rare foul language and alcohol. There is no explicit sexual content in the chronicle, but I’ll still have to rate it 18+ due to the tension between the characters, given their particular circumstances. And some arts.

A: The novel will feature hidden dialogues. One particular feature worth highlighting is the world. It's a paradise where no one seeks rule, death is a verb, knowledge is currency and the absence of human greed is marred by vices more terrifying than death.

A: This novell aimed at a niche audience of readers who appreciate complex stories, deep emotions and subtle nuances, as well as the dark aesthetics of fictional worlds, philosophy, beautiful couples and complex personalities.

A: It's a KN blending romance, paranormal, psychological horror, sci-fi and dark fantasy. At first glance, the novel resembles BL, but it explores universal relationships and delves into the psychology of trust, friendship and love in purest forms.

— The complex relationship of these unequal partners changes with the emergence of a common goal: to find a lost relic weapon in the mirrored ruins of Sidastel.

The documented phenomenon is signed by an anonymous person. The visual novel is scheduled for release on winter.
