"The Rolling Stones' 'Hot Lips' logo: Inspired by Mick Jagger and Hindu goddess Kali, crafted by artist Jon Pasche. Dive into its creation and evolution! ๐ค๐ธ #RollingStones#HotLipsLogo#rockandroll
The first thing i said when I saw the post someone made on the Freepik rebrand, I was like โKi le leyiiโ (I even thought it was someone that randomly redesigned the logo) but I soon got the official mail and voila! it was REAL. Please read on >>>
I realized I reacted like that at first because I was drawn to the old, resisting the change (itโs a cognitive bias). Then I took a peek into the brand strategy and visual system and this is how I now feelโฆ
The logo in itself is a very minute part of โthe brandโ. Whether itโs fine or not, for me, it works. I can recognize it, I can recall it, it can be scaled.
I went through the brand book, and I can say it wasnโt rushed; It made sense. This new bold direction gives freedom to creatives. This was a drastic move and as the team itself said, it was no simple decision but I applaud them all the same and I believe weโre going to get used to this and end up loving it with time.
This is my opinion! Letโs hear yours.
