I will be honest - I am not feeling sorry that the Pope has died. He lived a long life, in warmth and comfort, and died of old age.
My heart cries and aches for my friend's husband, who died yesterday. He was defending our country and could not be with his family.
My heart aches for the thousands of Ukrainian children who have lost their parents. It aches for the parents who weep over the graves of their children. All this because of Russіa, which аttасked Ukraine.
By the way, the Pope has never managed to clearly and unequivocally condemn Russіаn аggrеssion. That's why I don't feel sorry for him. Because true compassіon is not about "all the victims," but the courage to call еvil еvіl.
The irony of all ironies is that WE progressives are the actual “conservatives.”
WE are trying to conserve the Constitution, freedom, civil rights, the environment, America’s position in the world, sanity.
THEY are trying to blow it all up.
@FFRF Did the Harris campaign even mention the non-religious once? Even in passing? Or was she too beholden to religiosity?
We have so far to go. It is hard to fight Christian Nationalism when we go unseen.
@JohannaNyman5 The former Prime Minister is correct. Similarly russian hockey players have no right to play in the North American National Hockey League. @NHL
