Thrilled to see our Lewy fold paper online! We found the alpha-synuclein filaments share the same structure in PD, PDD and DLB. Great thanks to @MichelGoed and @SjorsScheres support! Thanks to everyone who makes this happen!! https://t.co/kXFeN65vsJ
It’s live, a short report! @DongchunNi and I had the chance to prepare a few mouse ACE2 complexes with various variants of concern to observe structurally by cryoEM the mutations on the Spike protein that allow it to infect mice more efficiently. Comments welcome! 🧵/1
Are you an aspiring or practicing neuroscientist who wants to learn Python for free? Dr. Mark Kramer and colleagues @BU_Tweets developed a great intro virtual book that uses Jupyter Notebooks with neuro data included. A🧵 of the topics included: @PhDVoice@AcademicChatter
Still time to apply for the fabulous 4-year PhD program @naddenmark - #neuroscience Academy Denmark #PhDposition - organized in themes and starts with rotations https://t.co/1G9FIOzJsG
Only one week left to apply. Fully funded #PhD and #postdoc positions in 3D genomics. Join us at @UCPH_CPR in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. It is a great place to study chromosome biology and epigenetic regulation, with many excellent groups and top facilities.

821,926 particles for 1.46 Å sound too many but they used Quantifoil R1.2/1.3 Cu, not a gold grid, and the defoci are rather deep. Hard to judge.

When you’re doing PhD research, the challenges you encounter are often complex, ambiguous, and can feel unwieldy. That is part of the learning.
A PhD is in part a degree in managing complexity and ambiguity. Your PhD experience should be equipping you to wield the unwieldy.
Considering doing a postdoc in cellular structural biology in Switzerland after your PhD? You could apply for a Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowship and our lab would be happy to host you. Just get in touch with me.
