Under the Ending Importation of Russian Oil Act of 2022, Russian diesel cannot be imported into the United States unless the president certifies to Congress that Russia has withdrawn from Ukraine, acknowledged Ukraine's sovereignty, and no longer poses a threat to NATO.
President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day.
Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine.
As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia.
America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration.
Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Slava Ukraini🇺🇸🇺🇦
🇨🇦🇺🇦 Fortunately, not every leader in this world is like Donald Trump. Far from it.
Friends, meet Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada. A man who has proven himself to be a genuine and unwavering friend of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
Since 2022, Canada has provided Ukraine with nearly $22 BILLION in assistance, including more than $12 BILLION in direct financial support.
And Prime Minister Carney continues to demonstrate that Canada's commitment to Ukraine is not just a collection of beautiful speeches.
Recently, he announced another $900 MILLION in military assistance, including $475 million for ammunition, nearly $400 million for 35 Canadian-made armored vehicles, and $50 million for critical technologies and engineering equipment.
But that's not all. Carney extended Canada's military training mission for Ukrainian soldiers until 2029. Together with President Zelensky, he announced plans for joint drone production.
Canada also committed an additional $1.18 BILLION to the PURL initiative and $200 MILLION toward Ukraine's reconstruction. His government imposed sanctions on eight individuals involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children.
And on Ukraine's Independence Day, Mark Carney personally traveled to Kyiv to stand alongside the Ukrainian people.
His message was clear: "Canada will stand with Ukraine throughout this terrible war, and when peace comes, we will stand with Ukraine afterward."
These are not empty promises. These are billions of dollars in assistance. Armored vehicles. Ammunition. Drones. Military training. Economic support. Real actions that help Ukraine defend its independence and save lives.
At a time when some world leaders are weakening sanctions against Russia and putting their own political interests ahead of Ukraine's survival, Canada continues to demonstrate what genuine solidarity looks like.
This is what leadership should look like. Not endless promises. Not political theater. Not flattering dictators. But courage, responsibility, humanity, and action.
Prime Minister Carney, thank you for standing with Ukraine. And thank you to the wonderful people of Canada, whose generosity, compassion, and unwavering support mean more to Ukrainians than words can express.
Canada has shown that true friendship is measured not by words, but by actions.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Canada! 🇺🇦❤️🇨🇦
“Bill C- 22 would require telecoms, internet companies and other digital service providers in Canada to adjust their systems to give surveillance and monitoring capabilities to police services and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.”
“Tech giant Meta warned that Ottawa’s lawful access bill could make companies support government surveillance, and create a framework to capture ordinary Canadians’ private information, even if they have no connection to crime.”
King Charles: In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, when NATO invoked article five for the first time—we answered the call together, as our people have done so for more than a century, shoulder to shoulder through two world wars, the cold war, Afghanistan, and moments that have defined our shared security. Today, Mr. Speaker, that same unyielding resolve is needed for the defense of Ukraine and her most courageous people.
The United Kingdom has stripped a person born in the country of citizenship for the first time, The Daily Mirror reports.
The case concerns former police officer Mark Bullen. The decision was made on national security grounds.
Bullen has long been living in Russia. He obtained a Russian passport, works in St. Petersburg, and is linked to the Zenit football club.
He had previously taken part in exchange programs with Russian police.
Pierre Poilievre says he ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE and will continue fighting to restore Canada, no matter the amount of Ottawa elites who want him to resign.
That's my Conservative Leader. Don't give up Pierre. Millions of Canadians stand with you and support you being 🇨🇦's next PM.
Last week in Montreal, the Liberal Party of Canada passed a resolution setting the legal age for access to social media for Canadians at 16.
For now, this is a non-binding resolution.
But make no mistake. Mark Carney has already stated that a "social media age of majority is under consideration" as part of his government's online harms legislation.
These same Liberals who are currently defending Bill C-8, a veritable "digital guillotine", allowing Ottawa to cut off your Internet access without a warrant or trial; now want to decide at what age your children are mature enough to speak online.
This is not about protecting children, but rather about control.
The Liberals' plan to force tech companies to verify the age of every Canadian user means: mass surveillance, mass data collection, and the end of online privacy.
They want to force you to provide official identification simply to open a social media account.
They want to create a national database cataloguing every Canadian's digital identity.
And they want the government, not parents, to decide what your children can see, say, and do online.
We don't want an authoritarian and paternalistic state.
We will never support an age restriction on access to social media.
It is important to understand that the Criminal Code contains several clauses prohibiting harming children online.
Perhaps more resources need to be allocated to law enforcement to enforce the criminal code and protect children.
We do not need more laws. Furthermore, while the Criminal Code can deter and punish those who harm children online, no law can effectively replace the attention, guidance, and supervision of parents.
Parents are their children's first line of defense. They have the right and the duty to protect them by putting safeguards in place regarding their access to the Internet, including social media.
At the People's Party of Canada, we believe in a very simple principle: PARENTS raise children. That is not the role of governments.
The solution to online harms is not a blanket government ban that punishes all young people.
The solution lies in parental responsibility, digital literacy, and holding big tech accountable, not in giving Ottawa more power to spy on Canadians.
The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. Instead, it was won through backroom deals with politicians who betrayed the people who voted for them.
While the Prime Minister spent the year on this cynical power grab, he has doubled the deficit, and given Canada the worst grocery prices and housing costs in the G7.
Liberals expect Canadians to give up, get complacent and go away, so Carney can have total power without any accountability. That will not happen. Our country and its people are worth fighting for.
We will continue to fight for people to afford homes, food and fuel.
We will continue to fight for safety in our streets.
We will continue to fight for our resource workers and soldiers.
I will continue to lead that fight every day and in every way in Parliament, across the country and in the next election, when Canadians will reclaim the country we know and love.
Let me get this straight.
You’ve been in power for ten years. You’ve doubled the debt. You’ve weakened the economy. And now, your answer is to trap young Canadians?
On stage, the Liberal Party of Canada brings out Patrick Pichette, a former senior executive at Google, who now lives in Europe, to suggest that Canadians who want to pursue opportunities in the United States should face an exit tax of $500,000.
Half a million dollars to leave your own country.
This, from someone who once left Canada himself to build a career in the U.S. and paid virtually nothing to do so.
So let’s be honest about what this is.
It is not economic policy. It is not nation building. It is control.
A government that has mismanaged the economy now wants to limit your ability to seek opportunity elsewhere. Instead of creating reasons to stay, they are looking for ways to make it harder to leave.
You do not grow a country by locking people in. You grow it by giving them a reason to believe in it.
You can only have this point of view if you ignore the 2014 Maidan Revolution we helped engineer, the desire of the west to use Ukraine as a weapon against Russia, and the desire to have Ukraine in NATO as a threat to Russia. Not to mention the real desire of the Russian speaking and identifying Donbass residents who were in an actual low intensity war with Ukraine for years. All of this is totally bad faith to the prior understanding that Ukraine would be a buffer zone between Russia and the west.
This makes the Cuban Missile Crisis look like nothing and look how we reacted to that.
You can ignore all this and go “blah blah blah Russia invaded blah blah blah” but while we understand but reject your perspective, you cannot comprehend the opposing perspective.
So in the end, nobody cares about your opinion. Particularly not Putin. Let the Russian Ukrainians be Russian instead of pumping in money and weapons to that puppet Zelensky and this war would be over in one day instead of an endless meatgrinder designed to weaken Russia at the expense of Ukrainians and Russian soldiers.
It has been a very fruitful visit to the Middle East and the Gulf region. We already have landmark agreements with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. We are also working with Jordan and Kuwait.
Rustem Umerov is currently in the region, continuing political-level negotiations – he reported to me today – and there are already additional requests from Bahrain and Oman.
For Ukraine, this is not only a matter of prestige and respect for our people; it is a very practical matter. We are exporting our system of protection, the skills of our warriors, the knowledge that our state possesses. And from these partner countries we expect reciprocal security engagement.
We have already agreed on opportunities to strengthen air defense, on the joint development of defense production, and on energy cooperation, including diesel and other critical supplies that we need right now.
BREAKING: The Longest Ballot Committee has already registered OVER 50 of their "candidates" in Pierre Poilievre's by-election and are preparing to add hundreds of more fake candidates in the upcoming week to sabotage Pierre's chances.
How on earth is this even allowed?
We’ve just introduced new legislation to get major products built faster, connect our country, and unleash Canada’s full economic potential.
Canadians are ready to build, and so are we.
Le Canada salue la décision du Tribunal de commerce international des États-Unis concernant les droits de douane américains.
Elle confirme ce que nous avons toujours soutenu : les droits de douane américains sur les produits canadiens sont illégaux et injustifiés.
