I’ve been listening to VAMPS a lot these few days. It so happens that a friend is starting up a band again so I submitted a song that I wrote a few days ago that’s heavily inspired by EVANESCENT 🙈
Similarly like L’Arc~en~Ciel’s Anemone, HYDE’s A Drop of Colour has this lush instrumentation that gives off this James Bond vibe, like a grand opening scene expanding on an exotic location
@Ceres1st_Neo You worded it perfectly! 👏 The lone violin that starts off the song really elevates the melancholic sound further. Even visually, the atmosphere looks so perfect. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like to be part of the audience of the show 🥹
“My voice is reaching the sky.
I’ll do anything to save this life.
Take me instead…” - HYDE
Such incredibly powerful lyrics that matches the intensity of this gothic rock song. What an amazing opener to FAITH
@RiceAndTruth Speaking of “FAITH,” I personally feel that VAMPS' arrangement on “MTV Unplugged” really brings out the song's unique atmosphere, so lately I've been listening to the backing track of that arrangement first, and then jumping right into the original version of “FAITH”! ⬇️🤭lol
@Ceres1st_Neo Oh yes! I never appreciated the MTV Unplugged album but having listen to it properly recently, it’s a truly an incredible re-imagination of the already amazing songs
@vKINOKOv Me too. Sometimes when the sun is shining so brightly, we look away from it for a moment but end up missing its glorious news 🥹 Looks like such an incredible live
@_Anna_butterfly It’s like opening the door to a garden of beautiful greenery where nature and technology coexists. This seems only possible by a band that paints pictures with sound 🤭
@HYDESHAWTY I definitely can appreciate that view and fully respect it. From my interaction with @iansluvr, I’ll definitely be more mindful in the future 🙏
@iansluvr I don’t mean to offend you as I thought it’s a fun image to share. The probability of commissioning Eiichiro Oda to illustrate those images is nearly impossible but feel free to block me if you feel that strongly about it
