@erikscottdebie @newbiedm Be careful what you wish for. A big collapse might leave D&D tied up in legal limbo for years with no one able to publish it. That was the fate WotC averted back in '97 when they bought TSR, after all.

Hey @JeremyECrawford @aquelajames . Try "Kind" or "Kindred" instead of "species." Less clinical, connotes a choice of how a character identifies. Easy to make a species name by adding "-kind" to anything, like elfkind or giantkind. You're welcome.

@balllicker9000 Hmm. If you mean books in-game, I don't think so. I could put together a list, I suppose. Might be 20-ish or so by now. I haven't written any fiction published outside the game, other than some Meet the Character pieces.

There are about 100,000 public schools in the US. A security staff of 4 people at each one (average salary $75k) would cost us $30 billion. Not an easy answer but better than nothing.
