@NateKirkII Fair point. Typically the catcher doesn't step all the way to the outer part of the box to make the throw but I'm not sure if he adjusted to try to avoid the batter, who was moving.

This is a strike in the fifth inning and it was a strike in the first inning. Not sure it’s really a strike but you know what’s being rung up. The high outside pitch for a strike was both pitchers go-to; Cover has been better at touching the corner I guess.

Update: James Monroe had a no-hitter, officially, until Wheeling Central got a hit in the bottom of the sixth. Otherwise, a no-hitter might have been determined by the ruling on this swing.
