@BlemmingR@freshprincephi 5th year option happens to the guy you're not sure about... real ones get their extensions way before that deadline.
he's a dude. 100%. just not being treated like it
@tmb237 Every sport should subsist on the revenue they generate. or be club. Asking basketball and football to fund every other sport was always messed up. also,.schools are making business decisions to pay X for football, and 0 for water polo. we dont need legislation, just dont pay it
@Gritizenship@thomasrp93 Howie could use on a player rn, could use it in a move up in 27 draft... there's multiple off ramps. but, your point is valid.
@Gritizenship@thomasrp93 you're completely missing the point. a draft pick is like a company stock. of course it price could go way up or way down in the next 2 years, that doesn't mean it doesn't have a value right now.
@thomasrp93 you are aware of the draft pick trade value chart? Jimmy Johnson's Cowboys kind of invented it, but theres several newer, more analytical versions of it. I only ask, bc this valuation system didnt fall out of the sky June 1st, its just basically accepted as fact in the League
@Chase_Senior nope.
they have shown how they value him by picking up his 5th year option. "special" players get long term, market resetting deals. 5th year option is saying, "we're not sure"
@blueleprechaun2@baxter40_22 read a little. common knowledge year out picks are viewed a round less.
also, fine it's a 1st. it's also 10 cents on the dollar vs what Waddle went for
