@will_owen9 What have the WRU thrown at the Dragons? They bought them for £3.75m in 2017, covered £millions in losses over 6 years, sold them (including Rodney Parade) for a quid, wiped their covid debt and have provided them with more funding than the Scarlets and Ospreys this season.
@JacotheNorth Evidence that Musk was very keen to go to the island though, & after JE’s conviction for being a paedo. Musk’s narrative about rejecting invites because he wasn’t interested has been shown to be lies.
The non-reporting of the staggering allegations against Trump is shameful.
@rava_ian There was no clash of heads or shoulder to the head. The other angles showed that. It was a massive collision and Lowry sadly whacked the back of his head on the ground.
@thepaulwilliams Not having a professional football team to compete with for support helps the smaller towns.
I’m sure they all draw support from the area outside those towns though. I know the Scarlets do anyway.
@thepaulwilliams Do you think they would support a merger between Spurs and Arsenal? North London United? Neither has ever won the Champions League, yet I expect there would be fierce opposition to a merger even if it made success more likely. Being loyal to your team isn’t a Welsh rugby thing.
@BGriffi58461962@RickyHarries The WRU would effectively be dooming this hypothetical supporter’s club to semi pro status, against that club’s wishes. It’s a stretch to assume fans would transfer their loyalty to a new entity that had taken their club’s place just because a player they like now plays there.
@SamLStandsUp Limited money? Gatland is reportedly on £600k pa. Edwards has expressed an interest in being an international Head Coach in the past. He wouldn’t be my first choice, but it’s not outlandish to think a Defence Coach would consider a Head Coach job.
@mattyhoran The same reason Fiji, Samoa and Tonga have never been invited into the Tri Nations / Rugby Championship; It doesn’t make any financial sense to the 6 Nations unions that own the competition, and there is no space in the European calendar for more international matches.
@samwarburton_ I can’t see the English and French clubs accepting yet another weekend of international rugby in the calendar. Also, it would be a farce to go back to an odd number of teams. Imagine a whole Super Saturday of dead rubbers because a team won the Grand Slam the week before.
@JackoRugby Why is it a smart move? Of course Wales are not going to play over there in November. They will only be playing home fixtures, the same as every other 6 Nations team in November.
@JPerrettMusic@WalesRugby I don’t see why anyone else should be able to tell the 6N unions what to do. They have been building this product into the success it is since the 1880s. What is to stop Spain, Portugal, Georgia etc from building their own tournament into a success that generates big income?
@JPerrettMusic@WalesRugby Every union in the 6N thinks the same. Turkeys aren’t going to vote for Xmas. Why risk plunging yourself into financial ruin and risk the next gen of kids getting hooked on something else just for the excitement of a relegation playoff? It makes zero sense so will never happen.
