One small thing schools and actually all settings can do to make parents of children with SEND feel more empowered is to use their name or say 'X's father/mother' in all discussions and documents. Never just 'mum' or 'dad'. This language is infantalising and diminishes views.
Happy 4th birthday to @harchillparkrun, great pacer event today. Got the best time in 2 years for my ๐ฏ run. Big thanks to all volunteers and especially to the 23 min pacer who got me my time.#loveparkrun
@WestOxLD OCC need to make decisions if transport is going to be offered or not well before summer holidays. Appeal process going on after term has started is not good. Why is that when student get to 18 transport is taken away? Still have same needs what ever age
@bhx_official@ukhomeoffice Tell the official that says over 12 this way what they are being directed to. My son has learning difficulties and can not use the auto machines. Then he moans at us for going wrong way๐ก
Controversial transport policy that would see families of disabled children charged about ยฃ700 a year will have to be looked at again
