@TheProjectUnity When the stone is cut out the quarry, the nubs are the last piece of rock connecting it to the bedrock. They probably chisel around the stone. Install some sort of moving device and then break it from the bedrock which leaves the nub

@TheProjectUnity The nubs are the last connection between the bed rock and the quarry out stone.

When the rock is carved out of the bedrock it is left attached by a nub. before it’s broken off from the bedrock the would be some kind of lifting and moving method installed around the rock.

@TheProjectUnity If you look at the unfinished obelisk and how they calved out underneath the structure it would make sense that it would eventually be left attached at few points to the bedrock before the removal process
