They also do things like take over the social media profiles they have and those of close to them which they have also done in this case

Basically in a missing case you have 4 potential outcomes: accident, suicidal, ran away, 3rd party.

Most people who go on the run break cover when they have kids, the face book page is a clever tactic as her only way of emotionally connecting to them would be online photos which they have suppressed.
