#tragedyofmacbeth Kathryn Hunter steals this from under everyone else. Otherwise, it's a fascinating adaptation. Odd to shoot most of the dialogue in close-up, though. Seems very un-playlike, which is surprising given the effort to appear stagey elsewhere. #FilmTwitter

Saw #The355. It was fine. An unambitious techno-espionage action thriller that rather wasted most of the female talent. Some decent action sequences, especially towards the end. Diane Kruger ruled though. #FilmTwitter

Finally watched #TheHarderTheyFall. Great revisionist western. Hits lots of traditional beats but also plays subversion game well. Good use of colour (and absence of colour for comic effect) and brilliant soundtrack (unsurprising given director Samuel's background). #FilmTwitter

Watched #Eternals. Pretty and noisy but the only subplot that rose above standard superhero fare was Thena’s. And, frustratingly, she’s then gets pushed offstage while everyone talks about her condition. I think I would have preferred a whole movie from her perspective.
