China has lifted sanctions on British MPs and peers who have previously criticised the country’s human rights record, Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

The sanctions were imposed in 2021 against five MPs and two peers.

We’re told 97% of #Tanzania voted for President Samia on 87% turnout.
None of the many indivs I spoke to voted: several polling stations in Bagomoyo were empty bar officials & closed early & reports of polling stns burnt in Arusha. Turnout figure is not at all credible

Despite this footage, and the knowledge that a policewoman’s nose was broken, it has taken a year to establish guilt of this brutal attack in court.
The sentence should ensure other potential thugs see the heavy consequences of such violence
