Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the appointment of Oliver Glasner as the Clubās new Head Coach.
One of Europe's most respected and progressive coaches, Glasner joins Forest with an outstanding reputation for developing players, building ambitious attacking teams and delivering success at the highest level of the game. His leadership, tactical expertise and winning mentality make him the ideal person to lead the Club into its next chapter.
Glasner arrives at Forest having become only the third head coach to win both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League. His European success, together with domestic silverware in England, underlines his track record of building winning teams.
He guided VfL Wolfsburg to UEFA Champions League qualification before leading Eintracht Frankfurt to victory in the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League, securing the club's first major European trophy in more than four decades. During his time in Germany, his teams earned widespread admiration for their intensity, tactical organisation and attacking style of play.
Most recently, Glasner made an immediate impact in English football, winning the 2024/25 FA Cup in his first full season in the Premier League, followed by the FA Community Shield, before going on to win the UEFA Conference League the following season.
Speaking of his appointment, Oliver Glasner said:
āIām delighted to join Nottingham Forest as head coach. From my very first conversations with the owner and the leadership team, it was evident to me that they have a clear vision for this football club and complete trust and belief in me and my staff to build a strong future together over the long term. That trust and shared commitment, together with the potential that I see within the squad, were key factors for me and I am excited about what we can achieve together.
āNottingham Forest is a club with incredible prestige and history, a two-time European Champion with one of the most passionate fan bases in football. Our aim is to build a team that can help take the club to the next level in the years ahead and that our supporters can be proud of.
āMy immediate focus is on meeting the players and staff and getting to work as we begin pre-season. Iām excited for the future and will work tirelessly to represent this great club with pride and to bring success on the pitch. I canāt wait to get started.ā
Owner Evangelos Marinakis said:
"In our discussions with Oliver, it was clear that we share the same vision, the same ambition and the same relentless desire to succeed. He has consistently demonstrated throughout his career that he can build outstanding teams and deliver success against the strongest competition.
"It has always been our goal to establish Nottingham Forest once again among the leading clubs in England and Europe. Our ambition is not simply to compete ā our ambition is to win, to challenge for major honours and to create a football club that our supporters can be proud of for many years to come.
"Oliver is a winner. He has earned success through his leadership, his personality and the style of football his teams play. We believe he is the right person to lead us into this next chapter, and I am delighted to welcome Oliver to the Club.ā

But you know. Forest do be Forestā¦.
Nottingham Forest is proud to launch āMagic Momentsā, a powerful community initiative spearheaded by Club owner Evangelos Marinakis which will see 30 tickets for every home fixture during the 2025/26 season donated to children and young people most in need within Nottinghamshire.
Reflecting Forestās deep-rooted commitment to supporting the local community, āMagic Momentsā will open the doors of the City Ground to those who may not ordinarily be able to experience the excitement of a matchday ā including those who are living with long-term illness, underprivileged, at risk or otherwise vulnerable.
In addition to attending home matches, each group will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes matchday access. From walking through the iconic tunnel to meeting players and staff and receiving their very own Forest shirt, āMagic Momentsā is designed to provide an unforgettable day of joy, comfort and inspiration during some of lifeās most challenging circumstances.
Ā
Local charities, youth groups and organisations working with children and young people in Nottinghamshire will be invited to be part of the initiative throughout the season.
To celebrate the launch of āMagic Momentsā, 50 youngsters have been invited to Forestās Premier League season opener against Brentford on Sunday. The groups include teenagers and young adults from Teenage Cancer Trust, as well as Switch Up ā a Nottingham-based charity whose mission is to steer young people away from crime and gang involvement through mentorship, positive activity and long-term support.
As part of the initiative, Forest will continue to set aside 10 tickets on each home matchday for Warriors United, a club for children and young adults with learning disabilities.
Under Evangelos Marinakisā leadership, the Club has increasingly focused on making a meaningful difference in the lives of people across the region. From supporting food banks and healthcare services to working alongside grassroots projects and educational causes, the Club has regularly used its platform to uplift, support and connect.
In recent months, this has included donating 2,000 club kits to schoolchildren across Nottinghamshire, partnering with Linden Lodge and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust to aid supportersā rehabilitation, and welcoming Club legends Frank Wignall and Peter Grummitt back to the City Ground to mark Dementia Action Week.
Nottingham Forest Owner Evangelos Marinakis said: āThis initiative is about more than football. Itās about giving back, providing unforgettable moments and ensuring that our Club continues to stand proudly at the heart of the Nottinghamshire community as a force for good. We know that one special day can have a lasting, meaningful impact, and we want to create special memories for those who need them most ā moments of hope, happiness and magic. We are on a special journey as a Club, and we want to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to join us.ā
