Great session @AAOS1 #AAOS2026 on prox humerus fractures. A few points: 1) Fracture pattern is impt, 2) Ideal tx should incl. patient expectations on surgery & function, 3) If arthroplasty is likely tx of choice (i.e., head splitting injury), early recon may have better outcomes.

Two of my favorite street foods I had from Osaka. Okonomiyaki and takoyaki (made of squid) are quick and delicious! I was also mesmerized by how quick and efficient takoyaki was made. The takoyaki was from the Dotonbori district in Osaka. #AOA-JOA @aoa1887

A theme on the #JOA tour is the innovative research on different local tumor therapy to prevent recurrences. This is an interesting one from Dr. Nishisho @Tokushima_Univ on anti-tumor activity of blue LED. Tokushima is also known for its artisan indigo blue dye! @aoa1887 #AOA-JOA
