While I was briefly back in the US, I was disheartened by how many would say "oh is that still going on?" when referring to the war in Ukraine.
It was incredibly frustrating for me especially as an active duty medic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At that point its just willful ignorance. Everyone has a cellphone, laptop, tablet, etc. Information is literally at your finger tips. But instead of informing oneself properly, the choice seems to be watching AI slop, mainstream media, and other short attention span apps.
The was is not over, it has not slowed down, we are still working and fighting for freedom in Ukraine, the frontline is still 1000 km long, civilians are still being killed by r*ssia every day. Putin rejected today President Zelenskyy's peace offer, making once again clear that this war only exists because of him and Russia.

Why do we ignore Russian crimes against humanity?
Russia uses 695 forms of torture against Ukrainian prisoners of war, including beatings, physical torture, sexual violence, and psychological abuse.
This was reported by Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, during the presentation of the project โMade in Russia. Delivered into Captivity,โ which documents Russian war crimes.
The Ombudsman said that prisoners are strangled, attacked with dogs, beaten with electric shock devices, and forced to stand in one place for up to 18 hours. If they try to sit down, they are beaten again.
โOne form of torture is the โbarbershop.โ During shaving, the Russians cut off not only hair but also pieces of skin from the head. If a person starts screaming, they are beaten physically or shocked with electricity,โ Lubinets said.
Russia has returned to Ukraine the bodies of 375 military personnel and civilians who were verified as prisoners. Of the verified Ukrainian prisoners of war, 149 were tortured to death.

In 827, Muslims invaded Sicily and Italy, persecuting monks and pillaging Christian communities. Sicily would remain under Islamic rule for 250 years. In 846, they invaded Rome itself and forced the Pope to pay tribute. By 909, they had taken Sardinia.
This was relentless, coordinated, and existential.

Adolf Eichmann, a high-ranking Nazi and one of the architects of the Holocaust, fled to South America after World War II.
In 1962, he was captured and brought to Israel for trial.
During the proceedings, the prosecution brought in survivors from Nazi death camps to testify against him.
One of them, Yehiel Dinur, entered the courtroom and came face to face with Eichmann, who was seated in a glass box. The moment Dinur saw him, he collapsed to the ground, shaking and sobbing uncontrollably.
Years later, in an interview with 60 Minutes, journalist Mike Wallace asked Dinur if his reaction had been caused by traumatic memories from the concentration camps.
"No," Dinur replied. "It was not the memories that made me collapse. It was the realization that Eichmann was not a demon. He was an ordinary man.
Hannah Arendt, a journalist for The New Yorker, attended Eichmannโs trial and later wrote about it.
She noted that Eichmann was not a psychopath, not a man burning with sadistic hatred. He was ordinary.
That is what made him so terrifying. He was a man who followed orders, who did his job, who justified the horrors he participated in without ever questioning them.
All humans have the capacity for evil. We all have within us the ability to justify unspeakable horrors if the conditions are right.
The question is not whether we are capable of evil, but what prevents us from committing it?
Most religions restrain human evil. They set moral boundaries, condemning acts of violence, injustice, and cruelty.
Christianity commands its followers to love their enemies, forgive those who harm them, and refuse vengeance.
Judaism, despite its history of persecution, never formed a doctrine commanding global conquest or the extermination of non-Jews.
Islam, however, does the opposite.
When an ISIS fighter beheads a captive, he is not acting outside the teachings of his faith. He is following the example of Muhammad, who personally oversaw the beheading of hundreds of Jewish men in Medina.
When Hamas terrorists slaughter Israeli families, they are not betraying Islam, they are fulfilling the doctrine of jihad, which commands war against non-Muslims until Islam dominates the world.
Unlike Christianity, which calls for self-sacrifice, Islam calls for sacrificing others. Unlike Judaism, which focuses on preserving its own people, Islam commands the subjugation or destruction of all who reject it.
We all have the potential for evil. But the difference between a person who commits atrocities and one who does not is the belief system that shapes them.
A Christian who commits murder is violating his faith. A Muslim who kills an apostate is fulfilling his.
A Buddhist who wages war is going against the teachings of his religion. A jihadist who slaughters unbelievers is doing exactly what his religion commands.
The Nazis did not commit genocide because they were born different from us. They did it because they were indoctrinated into an ideology that justified mass murder.
The same is true for every Hamas terrorist, every suicide bomber, every ISIS militant.
Their faith tells them that their victims are not innocent, not human, not worthy of mercy. And so, they kill without hesitation.
The reality is, Islam is the only major religion that actively commands the atrocities we fear. It is the only faith where genocide, subjugation, and violence are not historical accidents, but divine commandments.
It is a mistake to think Islam is just another religion, rather than the most dangerous ideology the world has ever known.

We're experiencing Russian terrorism every day. So why stop sanctions on Russian?
The continued easing of sanctions against Russia does not reflect the real situation in the war or in diplomacy and fuels the Russian leadershipโs illusion that they can continue the war. This week alone, the Russians have launched over 2,360 attack drones, more than 1,320 guided aerial bombs, and nearly 60 missiles of various types at our cities and communities.
Every dollar paid for Russian oil is money for the war. More than 110 tankers from Moscowโs shadow fleet are currently at sea. On board are over 12 million tons of Russian oil, which, due to the easing of sanctions, can once again be sold without consequences. That is $10 billion โ a resource that is directly converted into new strikes against Ukraine.
That is why it is important that Russian tankers are stopped, not allowed to deliver oil to ports. The aggressorโs oil exports must decrease, and Ukraineโs long-range sanctions continue to work toward that goal. I am grateful to every one of our warriors for their precision, and I thank all partners who are helping to increase pressure on Russia for this war.

Ukrainian jets just did something that should have been impossible.
On 14 April, they dropped American GBU-39 glide bombs on a Russian drone depot at Donetsk airportโa target 40 km behind the front line. The bomb only ranges 40 km from low altitude, meaning the launching MiG-29s either flew high over Russian-held territory or flew low and got close.
A year ago, both were suicide. On 14 April, both came home.

Hanson nailed the pathology. They don't analyze the war empirically. They analyze it politically. ๐๐๐,๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐ฌ are in that theater right now. Risking their lives to make sure Iran never puts a nuclear-tipped missile on Tel Aviv, London, or eventually Chicago. And half the political class is ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง because of who's in the Oval Office.
Read that again.
And the losers don't stop at Tehran.
๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐: no more Venezuela. No more Latin America. No more Middle East. Assad is gone. The drone pipeline with Iran is severed. Bogged down in Ukraine, bleeding over a million and a half casualties.
๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐: took 80 percent of all Iranian oil. That pipeline is now contingent on the United States. And Beijing just watched America broadcast to the world that it's about to mass-produce a half-million to a million drones. Any fantasy of crossing 110 nautical miles to take Taiwan just got a lot more expensive.
๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐, in Hanson's words, is "๐ข ๐ฃ๐ช๐จ ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ." We asked them for bases and airspace. That was it. France wouldn't let us use its airpower or clean up H-z-b in Lebanon, its own post-colonial responsibility. Italy wouldn't let our bombers land in Sicily. The United Kingdom โ the nation that built the Royal Navy โ "๐ค๐ข๐ฏ'๐ต ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ฐ๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ" to protect its own base in Cyprus.
Turkey, a NATO member, is openly siding with Iran and threatening a NATO partner, Israel.
Hanson's verdict: "๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐ค๐ข๐ฏ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฎ ๐ธ๐ช๐ต๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐, ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ญ๐บ." Going forward, the United States will pick and choose which NATO members are actually worth the alliance. The rest are "๐ฆ๐ช๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ต๐ณ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ญ๐ฆ."
And the Strait of Hormuz? The left spent two weeks shrieking that closure would end the world. Reality: it carries ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง๐ญ of world oil, ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐๐. The Saudis are expanding their Red Sea pipeline. The Emirates are expanding theirs. A pipeline across the desert through Jordan to Haifa is on the table. Within a few years, the Gulf "๐ฎ๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐ต ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ญ๐บ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ฆ ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ฏ." Their leverage becomes their liability.
If the war ends in two or three weeks, Hanson estimates seven months to economic recovery. Then comes the realization.
Iran is not threatening the Middle East. Iran has no ballistic missile threat. Iran has no immediate path to a nuclear weapon. Iran has no military. Its command and control is wiped out. Its population is stewing.

This war was fought on Western American terms. No Fallujah. No house-to-house in Taji. No villages in Afghanistan where you can't tell friend from enemy. The asymmetry โ by design โ was total.
The 24-hour news cycle will keep shrieking. The Democrat-media borg will keep cycling through whichever narrative hurts Trump most that morning.

This is a growing world wide menace
The last time I visited Amsterdam was in June 2023.
I ordered an Uber to take me from my hotel to Dam Square. The driver was a Dutch-born man of Turkish origin.
We started talking about the immigration crisis in Europe. And with complete confidence, he looked at me and said:
โBy Allah, we will take over Europe.โ
I asked him, โBut you were born here. Youโre Dutch. How can you talk like this?โ
He said:
โWhat unites us is Islam. The world must submit to Islam. We donโt see borders.โ
I tried to talk to him rationally about Islam, its historical violence, its authoritarianism, why it doesn't coexist in any modern society, and I shared with him that I was a former Muslim.
He got visibly angry.
God knows Iโm not exaggerating, he threatened me. He told me, flat-out, that I deserve to die and he would do it himself.
This wasnโt in Syria, Iraq, or Iran.
This was in Amsterdam. A liberal, Western European city. Supposedly free. Supposedly safe.
This is the consequence of importing ideology without accountability, Islam wrapped in Western citizenship.
They may hold European passports, but their allegiance isnโt to Europe, itโs to a global Islamic identity that rejects your freedoms, your values, and your existence if you dare question it.

Serhiy Korolyov was born in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. He always identified as Ukrainian, even explicitly stating his Ukrainian nationality in official Soviet questionnaires. While Moscow claims his success today, they spent years trying to break his spirit and his body.
โ๏ธ Survival in the Gulag
In 1938, the NKVD broke his jaw during "interrogations" and sent him to the brutal Kolyma gold mines. He only survived because the regime realized they needed his brain to build rockets, moving him to a "sharashka"โa prison for scientists.
๐ฉบ A tragic end
The Soviet state literally killed him. In 1966, Korolyov died during surgery because doctors couldnโt intubate him. His jaw, broken by Soviet guards decades earlier, had never healed properly, making a routine procedure impossible.
๐ Modern-day hypocrisy
Today, Russia puts Korolyovโs face on posters while bombing Zhytomyr, his birthplace. They claim a "Russian" space race, but it was built by a Ukrainian man who loved his land, a man they tortured, using technology developed in Dnipro, Ukraine.
Russia didnโt conquer space. A Ukrainian man gave them the stars, and the empire gave him a prison cell in return. Now Russia is destroying his homeland whilst cynically โhonouringโ the name of a Ukrainian. By the way, they stole him too, trying to claim everywhere that he was Russian.
