@dissidentvibes@Richard18618097@AlanJLSmith Most businesses understand that the top 5% of their customer base are critical for ongoing success.
This Government wants to punish them and drive them away.
Any growth strategy should be focused on retaining the top and creating opportunities for others to get there.
@PaulbernalUK It is a reasonable assumption that they offer a higher level of risk to hurting others than your regular punter though.
We should not celebrate people who have violently shot someone else being shot, neither should we lose too much sleep over it.
@implausibleblog It was the Dr’s who resisted the creation of the NHS. For them, it was always about the money they can make.
Still seen today with nhs Dr’s working in the private sector and agency cover charging £5k per day.
Dr’s are not heroes. They are very well paid professionals.
@ActionBrexit Wasn’t Gates on the Epstein list?
Given Starmer managed to ‘not see’ the Jimmy Saville and Mo Al Fayed complaints when heading up the CPS, perhaps Gates is after some advice on how to make things go away.
@themeltaylor@LizKershawDJ@NHS The NHS is overfunded and over staffed.
The law of diminishing returns kicked in years ago.
700k more staff in the last decade and the service has never been so poor.
@RupertLowe10 It’s another example of why nhs productivity rates are falling.
DEI training takes time away from medics working on the frontline.
Just sack the minority who show any signs of racism / sexism / ableism.
@mr_james_c Agree. But we should not confuse this with the Lineker Loophole where contractors on high steady incomes set up companies to avoid paying income tax.
@DrJ_Haddock @SophyRidgeSky@craigie_b Just play that through.
What do you think will happen to pay rises?
What about bonuses?
What impact will it have on new jobs?
What indirect hit does it have on shareholder value and pension pots?
How does this affect consumer spend?
And the knock on effect on vat?
@nickdixoncomic The British working people have already paid for slaves to be freed. The problem was all the money went to the slave owners.
It was 40% of the National budget in 1833.
The descendants of miners, dickers, shipbuilders and mill workers lived close to poverty with no privilege.
@narindertweets I agree with a lot of this.
Homemakers have been belittled in society despite them playing the most important role of them all - raising the next generation.
Children who grow up with both biological parents with one of them staying at home for the 1st 5 years perform better.
@mushycrouton Have you ever asked yourself WHY she is so protective of female safe spaces?
The uncomfortable truth is far too much harm has been inflicted on far too many women by those who were born with a penis.
Asking for protections against this is not unreasonable.
