Your comment doesn't make sense. The Republic of China is an old political party. They use to rule China but then fled to Taiwan when the CCP took over China. The CCP has never ruled Taiwan.

Taiwan has a different military, different schooling system, different language, different political system, etc. Pretty clearly a different country.

President Lai also said that china is a foreign enemy of Taiwan. Doesn't sound like china will be taking over Taiwan any time soon
