Just listened to @BBCRadio4 programme on Pete Atken and Clive James and it reminded me of this song that I had recorded off John Peel which sort of sums up my relationship with music
These lyrics describe my knowledge and views on music🐟
The man who walked toward the music
Had never heard a noise like that before
He didn't know a Stratocaster from a nuclear disaster
But he liked the floating notes and couldn't wait to hear some more
Pete Atkin & Clive James
@Walthamsteve@ELWaterworks I am pretty certain those are standard gauge tracks - based on having seen them and the picture plus this map from RailMapOnline which shows a siding running from Temple Mills yard into the Water Works. I think the bridge is still there
One models I return to frequently in my change practice is the Prochaska & DiClemente "Stages of Change" model. It says that in planning change we should start from the stage that people are at. In health & care, people are often at pre-contemplation stage (not even thinking about it) but leaders plan the change as though people are ready for "action" & implementation fails. There's increasing research evidence to support these kinds of conclusions, eg: https://t.co/eJXWlEsoXU Via @TCI_ca
Drawing: Possible causes of your problems. I've been appalled at the scenes we've witnessed over the last few days. It's utterly unacceptable that people should have to live in fear because of the colour of their skin.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Rishi Sunak is funneling thousands of NHS patients into private hospitals but are they safe? The Sunday Times has learned of hundreds of cases of unnecessary surgery. 🧵 1/9 https://t.co/0mZ9Ao7blh
“LTNs have succeeded in improving air quality on internal roads,” says official government report issued today and “there has been less street crime and improved road safety within LTNs.”
“LTNs do not adversely affect response times for emergency vehicles,” clearly states "Low Traffic Neighbourhoods: Research Report." This research was commissioned by Sunak with the presumed aim of discrediting LTNs but has done the opposite.
@zialuciapizza Very disappointing pizza delivery last night. Went to your Stoke Newington branch web page and clicked UberEats. For some reason UberEats app opened your Holloway Road branch (2.2 miles away cf 0.6 miles) which I didn't notice. Placed order. Pizza arrived cold.
Here's some suggestions
* Have somebody check the PA every day
* Have somebody on site who knows how it works
* Know where the portable PA is (it took 20 mins to find it)
* Have somebody keep class in the picture - no member of staff apologised or said anything
Yet another farcical situation at
@BetterHelpers#clissoldleisurecentre11am Dance Aerobics class today. Cover teacher arrives 10 mins late (not her fault), can't get PA to work, after 30 mins somebody arrives with portable PA, can't get that to work either. /1
#BBCSaturdayLive My belated #dance story which also involves #stents. At the age of 65+ I started doing #zumba. A few years into this I started to get v mild chest pain. Was convinced it was indigestion. But no - after similar journey to @thejasonbyrne I now have two /1
@bettytasticss@DarrenJohnson66 The data says otherwise. Sure there are more wealthy people here now compared to 1979 when I arrived but it is still the 19th most deprived borough and has far more households who fall in the deprived category. From https://t.co/NhCH46qAjl
