@thelastround67 I have 50 years of watching Kildare football so I am fully aware where we stand don’t worry. The assumption a couple of under 20 wins should lead to senior glory after 100 years of nothing is preposterous. Particularly when the lads who won the second under 20 are only 23.
Elements of truth to this but loses some credibility coming from a player whose team had all the elements but bottled it on numerous occasions which was the original definition of Spursy I think. Kildare have lesser, younger players than Mayo had. https://t.co/hxZPWqTyNU
I’m almost glad we don’t beat Man U too often. They’re still whinging about refereeing decisions and ignoring the awful selection choices and windyness (sp?) of their superstar players when confronted with a real team effort in the first half. Could have been 4-0 down at HT.
Last night was Louth’s first win over Kildare at underage level in six attempts going back to a 2015 win at minor level. At under 20/21 level their last win was in 2003.
