This past year has been life changing for me. After 25 years in an industry that in 2018 became governmentally controlled I tried for the next 7 years to build a business that met the new standards only to be denied repeatedly. I was exhausted mentally and financially.

6 months later I received a 20% raise and two weeks ago my employer signed me up for a gasfitter apprenticeship. I started school last week. I never could’ve imagined this a year ago. I am so thankful for this opportunity and now see a future again for myself and my Lady.

They messaged back and I had an interview on Friday and started work on Monday. It was a low paying entry level position but I didn’t care, it had potential to be something great.
I put on my best attitude and smiled every day. Hustled hard and did my best.

Thursday I woke up my Girl left for work and I opened Craigslist to the job section. Right there a couple ads down was an advertisement for a gas fireplace installers helper. I had done fireplace installation back in 1995 for 9 months and so I sent them a message.

I rode my bike to the river and sat on the bank watching the water flow by. I closed my eyes and prayed to the universe. “I put all my trust in you, creator of all. Please show me the way forward as I am at my end. I hand all my being to you and trust you will show me a path.”
