Diolch/ thanks to our 33 amazing volunteers who smashed it at today’s #keepgrangetowntidy & @cardiffrivers Litterpick! We cleared 64 bags of litter around @CF11Fitness & The Marl.
Well done everyone for making such a difference to Grangetown. Next one’s 10-12 Sat 16 August 💚
@katebevan@MissEmmaHarris Sadly I don't think there's a one-liner Debian equivalent of 'do-release-upgrade' like what Ubuntu has, it's a bit more involved and specific to individual releases.
It sometimes feels like we’re fighting a losing battle in Grangetown - flytipping has become the norm. We’d love to see some serious attempts to break the cycle @GrangetownLAB@cardiffcouncil. Nobody wants to live in an area like this.
There will be a talk about the Cardiff Workhouse on Thurs 23 May at 6.30pm at @Grange_Pavilion by Terry Kane of Grangetown Local History Soc. All welcome to come along. (NB: Change of date)
Wales is treated like garbage when it comes to UK coverage
Imagine, for a moment, how the UK wide media would react if the Prime Minister had done the following when running to be party leader:
- Taken a donation from a criminal.
- That donation had been 6X the spending limit for the contest.
- He'd lobbied regulators on behalf of the same company that had illegally dumped waste on a conservation site.
- Been the minister responsible for a state owned bank that gave the company that gave him a £400k loan, less than a year before the same donated £200k to his campaign.
- On the same day he accepted the donation, the company also put in a application for a solar farm that required the approval of the Government he was campaigning to form!
On top of all this, when challenged about this he dismissed any criticism as "unserious" journalism.
There are clearly massive questions to answer but as it is Wales no one gives a toss. There has been barely any coverage compared to seriousness of the story. Imagine if this was in Westminster or even Scotland.
The right wing press can't even be bothered to use it as a stick to beat Keir Starmer.
That is how irrelevant Wales is.
Companies run by a convicted criminal that bankrolled Vaughan Gething’s Welsh Labour leadership campaign owe £400,000 to a bank wholly owned by the Welsh Government, newly published accounts have revealed ✍️@ShiptonMartin https://t.co/1bisTEZbMj
1 month to go until the May elections. If you're not yet registered to vote, you've got just 2 weeks left to apply. And thanks to this awful Govt, you also now need photo ID to cast your vote - if you don't have one, apply for a free voter ID by 24 April

@MissEmmaHarris I maintain that it wasn't a scam on this occasion, but you have to be very cautious when faced with unexpected or unusual communications.
‘All of Wales should be included in the conversation about the future of Wales. All of Wales should understand the reality of the present situation. All of Wales should understand the nature of the options we need to discuss’

Just a reminder that our entire electricity grid system is owned by one company National Grid Plc and our entire gas system is owned by National Grid, Macquarie Asset Management, and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation.
