Global Institutions, Broken Standards: Why Antisemitism and Corruption in International Forums Matters to Canadians (and our Tax Dollars)
One of the most powerful moments of CSFN Ottawa 2026 came when Michal Cotler-Wunsh, CEO of the International Legal Forum, took the stage. Her keynote and fireside chat, moderated by Rick Ekstein, President and CEO at Phaze 3 Associates, delivered a clear-eyed look at how the international institutions Canadian taxpayers help fund have been hijacked, corrupted, and weaponized against the values Canada was built on.
Cotler-Wunsh laid out the case with the moral clarity this moment demands. The same global bodies that were created to defend human rights and prevent atrocities have become some of the most active platforms for antisemitism, double standards, and the legitimization of terror. The rules-based international order is being eroded from within, and Canadians are footing the bill.
This is not a foreign issue. It is a Canadian issue. Every dollar sent abroad in our name should reflect Canadian values. Every vote cast at the UN in our name should reflect Canadian principles. Every alliance we honour should be one that honours us back.

@RickEkstein
Today on Yom HaShoah, the day we remember the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust, I remember my grandparents, murdered by the Nazis in 1942 leaving my 8 year old Mom alone.
Never Again!
I had the privilege of speaking to a room full of Christians at the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast in Ottawa.
I chose to share something deeply personal, my mother’s story, and what it means for today.
Here is the speech: https://t.co/g8BupoVAFm
