With the deal PSA secured a 40 year lease for Ceres with Halifax Port Authority. Before agreeing, HPA wanted to see how much PSA plans to spend on Ceres to spur growth. Purchase and lease terms were't made public.

PSA Halifax confirmed today that it is adding a 6th ship to shore gantry crane to be delivered in 2023. It will be capable of reaching across a ship 24 containers wide. Halifax handles the largest ships calling in Canadian Ports

Should correct and add to an earlier tweet that in 2023, PSA adding 2 cranes not 1 to its Hfx terminal bringing total to 7 ship to shore gantry cranes.
Work on the terminal expansion will begin in May. HPA estimates expansions cost to run about $10M. Rail cost will run another $47.5M. Half of the rail cost will come from the Fed. Transportation Corridor Fund.
The second part of the HPA plan is to increase the rail on the terminal from 1800 meters to almost 5000 meters. It will allow complete container trains to be assembled on the dock.
