Give thanks for the newly elected elders in Blackrock Presbyterian, praying that God would grant them wisdom and grace as they prepare for ordination. Pray also for our community outreach worker in Bray, that she would know God's grace and encouragement.

An encouraging evening meeting with a group of people exploring church membership before a service where 7 teenagers were baptised on profession of faith. The church continues to expand and this quote from the membership class sums it up where “in the unassuming surroundings of the fellowship hall or the church basement or the aisles between the pews you will know firsthand the fullness of Christ.” That has been my experience.
If you are young leader (aged 25-35) seeking to grow in faith and influence, then why not consider taking part in the Public Leader programme?

Pray for Rev Nigel Craig in his ongoing chaplaincy role at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), giving thanks for his chaplaincy colleagues and praying that, together, they would be blessed in this work and be a blessing to those they come into contact with.

Snooker player Mark Allen's comments on mental health are a big win over secrecy & misplaced shame. He can hold his head high. He has changed the perspective on his sport forever & for the better. Unforgettable interview brilliantly handled by Rachel Casey https://t.co/dV9cYWAl39
“Daniel had thought he would serve God in Jerusalem, but he believes and learns that God is still king in Babylon, even if Jerusalem is in ruins. He can stand in his identity as God’s servant because he is confident in God’s character and power.
Are we confident that God is as much king in our workplace, home or commentary as he is in our church? Do we trust God ‘out there’ in the world as much as we trust him ‘in here’?”

The Evangelical Alliance is 180 years old this year. As a member of EA, I am thankful for their work and want to highlight this upcoming event in Belfast on Wednesday 4 November with CEO Gav Calver, head of gospel impact Phil Knox, and the local @EANInews team.
You will hear stories of what God has done throughout our history and what He is doing today across Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. I believe you will leave encouraged and equipped to live out your faith as Good News People in a polarised world.
