The ovation from the capacity crowd for Sam Kerr when she entered the game for @GothamFC in the second half at Citi Field was supercharged and emotional!
From the @PWHL_NewYork Sirens at Madison Square Garden in April to @GothamFC at Citi Field yesterday, women's sports are electrifying New York in historic proportions!
.@GothamFC announced a sellout crowd of 42,175 fans at Citi Field, making the Queens Classic the most-attended women's sporting event in New York City history.
@jellyfishagenda@IanKennedyCK In an article I wrote recently for https://t.co/bz598Dsufh, I state exactly why @jellyfishagenda's tweet of exactly these three divisions are SO obvious for travel and scheduling.
SoOoOo ICYMI -- we're basically sold out at @CitiField today for the Queens Classic, pres. by @CarMax!!
WALK-UP TIX AVAILABLE AT THE BOX OFFICE WHILE LIMITED INVENTORY LASTS!!!
From the 86th floor of the @EmpireStateBldg observation deck, @PWHL_NewYork Sirens' No. 1 draft pick Emma Peschel and GM Pascal Daoust spend time with @TheHockeyNewsW for some one-on-one interviews with me regarding the team for the next Sounding Off With The Sirens!
Elisa Holopainen could be the New York Sirens' x-factor next season, former Metropolitan Riveters star Sarah Bujold is looking to return to the region full time, and summer action is ramping up. Here's at all-things Sirens from @RickMenning.

Count @PWHL_NewYork Sirens' top draftee Emma Peschel among those thrilled and excited about the new team in town! "Women's sports, especially in New York, have been booming, I think it's a really cool city to be a part of this growth and it's amazing," she told @TheHockeyNewsW.
The crowd at next Sunday's ESPN+ nationally televised @LittleLeague East Region softball game in Bristol could be the largest in the history of the tournament! @WTNH@NBCConnecticut@Erikd25@JPPierson

The girls from Bristol, CT make major history in their quest to make the @LLSBWorldSeries. The team is playing regionals in their own backyard! @LittleLeague

Wait...what? New York has another women's professional sports team??!! Why have I not heard about this @wlacrosseleague team? Switched on ESPN tonight and...BAM!
Former PWHL veteran, who re-joined the league last season late as a reserve, Sarah Bujold, is heading back to the New York Sirens as a training camp invite.
I'd expect the veteran to make her way onto the lineup and play an important role up front.

@FriedlsKing The @Wpbl_nyc Heights' future home is going to be a fun situation to watch as the '27 season draws near. One possibility is 7,000-seat Maimonides Park with all that area's rich baseball tradition (Brooklyn Dodgers). It currently hosts the Cyclones and Brooklyn FC women's soccer.
@JoshuaHowsam I echo @skiing311! This is simply a year-one plan to build the league much like the @theAUSLofficial has done before going city-specific this summer. I too give them a pass on the Springfield decision and look forward to the teams moving into their own ballparks in 2027.
@ATGanias Yes, but don't forget the Heights name is a tribute to the legendary Dr. Dorothy Irene Height and has nothing to do with boroughs, skylines or neighborhoods.
Thank you so much @IanKennedyCK and @TheHockeyNewsW for acknowledging the @wpbl_official's recognition of this country's trailblazing women pioneers in all four team names! A spectacular acknowledgement and a forever honor of their work!
The Women's Professional Baseball League announced their team names and logos, all paying homage to historic women in the sport and in their markets.
It was a home run in honouring pioneering women, while the PWHL's own attempts have struck out https://t.co/YLyTntxxoU #PWHL
