@ssteudle0526@VoteHafner@Wolfiesmom@JoelOsteen In the interest of accuracy, churches and other non-profits don't pay tax on donations received. But, pastors, clergy, and church employees pay tax on their income just like you do.
@AOC Sadly, you are demonstrating that you either (1) do not understand the Constitution and how our government works, or more likely, (2) you are intentionally misrepresenting the facts to get your base worked up. Truth matters. You seem to be lacking in conscience or consciousness.
@CJOnline Electing judges is a horrible idea. We don’t want our judges having to seek campaign contributions from lawyers. No matter how pure the judge’s heart is, litigants will worry, “Did my lawyer contribute as much to the judge as the other lawyer?”
SB 379-What if the person with legal title to vehicle is different than who is controlling the automated driving system? What if the person with legal title to the vehicle is a shell corporation? What if it's a rental car company who has no idea how the system operates? #ksleg
Let your legislators know that automated vehicles should not be allowed on Kansas roads unless the companies that use them are fully accountable for any harm they cause.
One of the major issues that must be addressed before automated vehicles are allowed on Kansas roads is to clearly define who is responsible when a vehicle is involved in an accident. SB 379 does not clearly define who is responsible. #ksleg#kscourts
Picture a driverless semi next to your family on the highway going 80 MPH. Daunting enough but what if you knew the semi was unregistered and had passed no tests or inspections? SB 379 must have our full attention. #ksleg#kscourts
Kansas is one of a few states that limits the amount of benefits a worker can receive if injured on the job. The cap is $155,000 for the rest of that worker’s life, regardless of their age, severity of the injury, income status or the work they do. #ksleg#kscourts
Tolerance is not approving an opinion you do not hold. It's about treating the person --who's saying what you can powerfully disagree with--with respect, humility, and love.
Congratulations to Gail Vaughn Ashworth! Gail was awarded the Edmund S. Muskie Pro Bono Service Award last night at the TIPS Welcome Reception in Dallas. Ginger Busby, who's known and worked with Gail for many years, presented the award.
Our fellow Kansans living in adult care homes deserve to be protected. The owners of these facilities already have affirmative defense protection. Further immunity not needed. This important question is before the Legislature now. Who will step up & do the right thing? #ksleg
Is your law firm reasonably secure from a technology standpoint? Are you reasonably up to date on technology and the law? Lawyers must obtain and maintain technological competency. We just can't ignore the issue. #cybersecurity#legaltechnology https://t.co/bwYSEqeorx

It is wrong for legislative leaders to ram through any important legislation in an abbreviated session without benefit of full public scrutiny and debate. #ksleg#ProtectKansans
It's a sad day for elderly Kansans. The Kansas Senate Judiciary Committee passed S Sub for HB 2244. It immunizes businesses and health care providers from responsibility for negligently causing harm. Encourage Kansas House members not to concur tomorrow.
Our senior citizens are particularly vulnerable right now and should not be stripped of legal rights or subjected to further danger from legislation that would remove incentives for adequate infection control measures. Our elected leaders should be protecting our seniors. #ksleg
This is Exhibit A of why there should be no immunity from liability granted to employers. Our elected leaders should be protecting Kansas workers, especially those we depend on to feed us and protect us. #ksleg
Concussions — an overused word, a traumatic #braininjury via @LLUHealth:The term “#concussion” is often thrown around... when someone hits their head... healthcare professionals becoming concerned that parents may not fully understand the... danger" https://t.co/1BpDqsGHg4
The callous approach to gift immunity from liability ignores the safety of KS workers, especially our frontline workers in healthcare, meatpacking, other food providers, manufacturing and all essential businesses. Look what's happening in SW KS. Protect our workers! #ksleg
