@rmbateman I find it somewhat ironic you used AI to demonstrate the opportunity & risks. Key words in your image are "critical thinking". AI is no different than any writer with an agenda or bias. It can be tougher to detect in AI but parents & educators must focus on developing this skill.
Zero details given but I won't be enforcing this as a parent. I will however, continue to teach, guide, & monitor my kids behaviour to use social media & AI for their benefit to learn & connect. As individuals, we need to learn discipline & control of our actions & surroundings.
For an organisation like Siloam to go "media silent" is a big deal. This is unusual and a sign of major problems. If I were a board member, I'd be seriously concerned right now about this spiralling further out of control. #winnipeg
Despite some of the highest equalization increases, the MB govt still cannot balance the books. $1b more expected in this budget and still projecting a $500b deficit #mbpoli
No pressure Madan. It's not like anyone is expecting you to be productive for that salary...it's funny/sad - another not so thought out "plan" by the MB govt.

Hold CRA to same standards imposed on people who owe - my reassessment notice came, 2 weeks to reply, owing bill came within days. Tried calling CRA lately? Disaster over there.
Taxpayers complain of long waits for CRA to fix its errors, deliver refunds https://t.co/49dXyLg9ch
For those who are afraid 15 min cities destroy choice & limit freedoms..You need to get out more. It's about creating more choice & amenities close to you, not less

Happy to hear this. This place is such an eyesore and blight on the neighbourhood in its current form. No alcohol will be served in the refurbished hotel and the vendor will be a restaurant. Should be good for the #westendwpg

My kids and I were just commenting the other day how much we really like the look of these lights on Portage Ave while driving past them. Terrible idea to replace them with an ugly metal poles #winnipeg

Got a phishing text from the #winnipeg parking authority this morning telling me I had an unpaid parking ticket and asking me to pay it. Was wondering how long it would take scammers to try this one after the city removed the meters. Beware! #wpgnews#wpgcrime
What do these look like? It's a number you don't recognize (here-250 area code & listed as West Kootenay Landscaping) and they provide a website link that is not the real one. You can always check the REAL website first if you are unsure (I entered in the ticket #, doesn't exist)
7. Hackney cabs. Love the uniformity of look and nod to tradition & history.
8. Density 5x that of Winnipeg & makes most of the above possible.
9. Feeling safe walking around
10. No food issues. Preservatives, msg & the general crap we put in food here kills me 3/3
Quick little trip to the UK and here's a short list of what I'll miss most returning to #winnipeg in no particular order:
1. Rivers are for the people. Huge sections of the Thames are for public enjoyment.
2. Standing pubs on streetside & takeaway beers. /1
3. Small store frontages. It makes things so much more interesting, safer feeling and vibrant.
4. Tap on & off transit payments on the tube and busses
5. Controlled tipping & tax included in the price. It is out of hand here
6. Walking culture. It's a pain to drive in London /2
Compared to a decade ago, we spend an unusual amount of time & money on loss prevention strategies in-store & online. Retail has become our battlefield but we are not soldiers. It's increasingly difficult to remain calm. We are a small business and we are fed up #mbpoli#wpgpoli
People are fed up. It is worse than ever. In the worst 8 week period in 10 yrs, we lost 1 FT staff, $20k retail, 2 attempted break ins & $5k additional security expenses.

A ridiculous motion. Biz tax hinders growth and affects small business disproportionately.
"Couns. Wyatt (Transcona) and Orlikow (River Heights-Fort Garry) moved a motion to raise the business tax rate by one %age point, from 4.84% to 5.84%, but it failed to pass" #wpgpoli
Huge $ increase when you consider the majority of our property assessments also increased significantly over the past few years.
