@brownsugaaaa3 Being on TV back then is almost like a guarantee success, or at least a requirement to be seen. Now we have access to the internet, making it both easy and hard in ways.
@AlecBCHall@EricMTerrill1 Undoing all the damage that occurred during a crash (crushed items and wiring) can be difficult - but I want to point out that it's better if you can walk away from a crash than the car being easily repairable, and those things don't need to be on opposite end of a spectrum.
@AlecBCHall@EricMTerrill1 Repairing crashed vehicles are just plain expensive because imagine trying to get the crumple zone repaired right without getting that part just replaced. It's easier to get the car running straight, lookin' straight without getting everything "computer" straight.
@shoot_blanks9@LackTact@UtahFlatRanger I don't really know why you're pointing these things out, some cars only had ABS as an option up until 08. You'd only find drum brakes on the back maybe even into the 80s (a guess, as I never really worked on 80s cars) but if you may, why are rear drum brakes not acceptable?
@LibertyJen fyi 03-08 corolla odometer doesn't go past 300k (miles or kms) some say they're bad but I had a good one. 01-02 I'd say stay away, no one needs to suffer that thing. These are way over priced 10-15 years ago, I hate that it's the norm now.
@yishan Too specific of a weld - there's a laset welder that beginners can use that's almost fail proof with all the flexibility of a regular welding tool. I've seen Xtool's, holy pricy but you don't need to experiment, learn, practice for years to get great welds.
@aaliyahvtuber_ Don't push yourself/put a lot of effort on things no one cares about (a job that you got just to make ends meet), they can pretend they care but they just want you to do the job, you'd feel like shit and if you care about doing things (too) well your efforts will never be enough.
@mllichti@nocontextmemes Find? What about get? You heard of the abundance of ghost jobs? Even if ghost jobs don't exist what about the bunch of bullshit requirements they want you to have to get practically just a bit above minimum wage?
