@nocontextfm1 Someone counted it takes 97 clicks to set training up for one week. 97. And that’s with knowing everything they wanted to assign in advance. NINETY SEVEN.
@SirRiless@totheswamp I know i can’t speak for everyone but I’m sorry for how some of us Florida fans treated yall. Hope yall go far in the playoffs and always enjoyed the Ole Miss atmosphere and tailgating.
See this right here is a fireable offense.
This is a completely unrelated matter to whether Jon Sumrall works out or not. We need to compartmentalize here and look at this move in isolation. Forget Sumrall for one second and look at this.
This smarmy little bit of twattery by Stricklin cost us a 2025 season that who knows what could’ve been accomplished? You can build a CFP roster overnight nowadays. It’s not inconceivable to think Kiffin could’ve had Florida in the playoff with this 2025 roster.
We’re only on this planet for a certain number of years to enjoy Gators football. Scott Stricklin cost us one of those for no reason other than that he wanted to be right. And that is absolutely unforgivable.
@whynotflorida Let me preface saying I haven’t watched much of his offensive before he was at GT. But it comes down to offensive style for me. It doesn’t feel “Florida esque”. Lots of downhill power gap scheme and more QB run type calls.
@softdrinktv Yes, it’s relatively easy to but it comes with an insane amount of time to watch lines each day. There’s lots of discords and websites to help, but you have to shop lines with +EV and build parlays that way, not based off “feelings”
Jon Sumrall might work out. He might not. That doesn’t even matter right now.
The way this coaching search was handled was the piano that broke the camel’s back.
Scott Stricklin needs to be fired; sign this petition and let your voice be heard. https://t.co/ppmnSLK8AN
Stricklin must go. Idk how we get there but this program will never change until the leadership does & that includes those around Scott Stricklin
We are an unserious outfit. FLA doesn’t do all they can. They seem to do the minimum that’s accepted by most to get by & make excuses
@footballguycfb@MVPMertz I don’t disagree with anything you said. It sucks. I’m not excited for this hire at all, but sadly I have to hope it works out. I just want to see a winning program. And for at least next year, it’s up to Sumrall to make that happen.
New UF GM Dave Caldwell was the Jaguars' GM January 2013- 2020 and presided over only one winning season. The Jaguars were 39-86 in his tenure and lost 10 or more games in every season under Caldwell except 2017. Jacksonville was 1-10 the season Caldwell was fired.
I’ll just go on the record and say it: I do not want Jon Sumrall.
But he’s going to be Florida’s coach and I will root for him to do well. He deserves a fair, legitimate chance. We owe him that.
Let’s not boo him out of Gainesville right off the bat.
That said, he simply does not have the goodwill built in for a bumpy takeoff the way a Lane Kiffin or a Lincoln Riley would have. Scott Stricklin, Gary Condron, and the rest of the AntiChrist minions may hate the rest of us, but surely they can understand that. They have to know— they HAVE to— that this fanbase is going to require far less adversity to turn on Sumrall than a proven P4 coach.
Let’s hope for the best, because we really don’t have a better option.
