Third place finisher in the CD-1 GOP Primary Nathan Butterfield blasts Lahmeyer for staying in the race even after the scandal broke. His campaign tells me Oklahoma law does not allow him to sue to try to get on the runoff ballot now that Lahmeyer is out. Tedford is the nominee
Last night was not the outcome we had hoped for, nor the outcome many voters in Oklahoma’s First District deserved.
I believe voters should have been given the opportunity to choose from the candidates who actively campaigned for this seat. @JacksonLahmeyer’s decision to remain in the race ultimately affected that choice, and I believe he should have withdrawn earlier. Regardless, the election is over, and the people have spoken.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who stood with Team Butterfield throughout this campaign. Your support, encouragement, and hard work meant more than words can express.
This campaign was about giving voters a voice and offering a different vision for Oklahoma’s future. While we came up short, I am thankful for the experience and for every person who believed in our message.
Thank you again to everyone who supported this campaign. I remain hopeful for the future of Oklahoma and pray that our district is represented well in Washington, D.C.
BREAKING @FOX23 - Tulsa Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer drops out of 1st Congressional District runoff after taking second while in the midst of accusations he said "crossed a boundary line" with a woman other than his wife during the campaign. He was endorsed by President Trump
There's no such thing as "sum up what happened" when it comes to explaining 2,3,4 and how we got to 5 from 1. It's slightly less complicated than someone explaining Star Wars.
@jamiedupree@KRMGtulsa You should see the yard signs though. Most Republican houses in Tulsa and even in my neighborhood have Mazzei signs on their lawns while other candidates just have signs on the streets. You can sense the tide has shifted towards him these last few weeks.
After months of candidates spending thousands of dollars on ads saying they are the most "pro-Trump", Trump has his say on who he wants in the Oklahoma governor's race.
Earlier this week, @FOX23 and the Tulsa County GOP held a debate with the Tulsa County District Attorney candidates as well as an AG forum with Jon Echols. You can watch all of that in full here:

⛽️💸 Gas prices then and now. I went back into @FOX23 archives to see what gas was like in June 2022 vs now. We’ve been saying on air “the highest since June 2022”
The British are coming!
Looking forward to King Charles speaking inside the Capitol building this afternoon! The timing of His Majesty’s address to Congress coincides with our nation celebrating 250 years of independence and demonstrates that the British no longer have hard feelings for all that tea thrown into the Boston harbor :)
If only we could somehow go back in time and explain to the Founding Fathers of the U.S. that one day the King of England would not only address Congress, but he and the queen would be welcomed to give a speech in the House of Representatives. I wonder what they would say. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
@RogueRedState The OK-5 Kendra Horn won doesn't exist anymore. In the 2020 redistricting, more Latino voters were moved into Frank Lucas's district, and the boundaries also shifted more north.
