@starsstrikesbb Yeah I think us fans overrate the significance of that. Like that should have given the Giants a boost but it’s done nothing at all for them. They teed off on two of our worst pitchers and that’s it. Maybe it lingers w Parker & Schultz but that’s it
@TalkNats And he can’t say the truth. We don’t care about wins and losses as much as all of u so it’s perfectly ok to take a year to see if we can recapture two good games by him.
@SleeperNats Agree. And Vivas trade cost us another strong pitching prospect. Toboni has had some definite wins but mostly they’ve been hiring coaches to help w talent he inherited from Rizzo and DeBartolo
@VladimirJongUn@Mikeysurf@spencernusbaum_ You’re not wrong about the positives but the team that was thriving is still mostly Rizzo’s roster and if Toboni continues to pretend this team is an expansion team and winning isn’t important a lot of us will be pissed
@federalbaseball Ha and now watching the Dodgers quickly give up 8 runs to the Pirates after leading 6-1. Sometimes we forget the other team capable of amazing things too in the blink of an eye. Even those without Mitch
@federalbaseball Toboni recently admitted he wasn’t sympathetic enough to what fans have gone through and if Parker is still on the team as a reliever option tomorrow his words will be empty
@Mikeysurf@spencernusbaum_ And I agree Toboni hired coaches who have done a great job but the jury should still be out on Toboni as a roster builder in a big way. The Linan for Vivas trade was dumber than any move Rizzo ever made and that was done only a month or so into his first season. Scary
@Mikeysurf@spencernusbaum_ Key thing you said that no one says enough. “From Rizzo’s guys.” Sometimes Toboni acts like he inherited an expansion team but Rizzo stole him two superstars and some great pitching (Sykora, Susana) who Toboni will profit from when they’re healthy
@GrantPaulsen Yep was amazed to see everyone who needed to lose did and we’re tied for a WC spot. There’s no scenario where Nats will be buyers but can they bring up talent better than Vivas, Tena and Chaparro.
@klwoodjr I’ve been watching every game and haven’t noticed him hitting into more bad luck than anyone else. He’s had a few infield hits that even it out. He may end up being a Mead type who blossoms when he’s no longer a prospect and all the pressure is off
@TalkNats Yeah I do remember he was hitting 300 in his first month. And if we only need an inning or two - or eating innings in a rout - then Mikolas can have value and it’s not like we traded anything for him
@jordafrass@RedWavePress We can disagree on rankings of comic hosts, that stuff is subjective. But for Tucker Carlson to pretend he’s way less talented than other equally successful comics is such obvious projection on Tuckers part. U don’t see the world like I do Bill so ur lesser
@TalkNats@JunksRadio Finally Vivas delivers with men in scoring position. From his sheepish expression on second base, it was clearly wearing more on him than us
